[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

[Knitting A Conundrum]

I know that, but I have been a bad girl, hanging on in fangirl/writers circles mostly. I peak over here every day, but haven’t been posting much. All of a sudden, I saw you on my side bar and realized how long it’d been since I’ve posted here....I’m even writing a novel, of which I have over 33,000 words done so far.

Yup, another NY scene, my daughter’s actually. Lovely decorating job she did don’t you think.

She is coming to pick me up today, we are going to spend some quality time together.

Wonderful news on your novel! Wow, that is amazing, I don’t think I have a novel in me.

[Knitting A Conundrum]

This one won an award and is nominated for another: It’s about two characters in the InuYasha manga, one who died, the other who lived; they were just maybe beginning to have a relationship. The one who died called herself a wind sorceress, and wanted to be as free as the wind. Right before she was killed, she was released from bondage, then attacked. She flew off to die where the man she was interested in could be with her. I think it stands alone enough to post here without any more explanation:

Sometimes the Wind

Sometimes,
when he is alone in his thoughts,
this inscrutable Lord of the Western Lands,
standing there in the open ground underneath a warming sun,
and the air is still and quiet,
the wind comes up, unexpectedly,
and nuzzles against his neck,
kissing his ears,
playing with his silver hair,
caressing his cheek
and he remembers her fiery eyes,
and voice,
and unspoken longings,
the whiteness of her bosom,
his final witness.

Something in him stirs, then,at those moments,
and he pauses,
thinking briefly at the might have beens
that were not,
that could not be,
that did not happen,
and knows the touch of regret,
and like the wind,
sometimes, he sighs.

Windmill

Rested up and less sore from Thursday’s wicked PT workout, I have definite plans for getting on the exercycle very soon.

Noel’s last effects on the States are upon us with gale winds and rain, limiting our options this Saturday.

How’s your side doing? We gotta keep our sides afloat.

The sun is out and the temps are in the low 70’s with very mild winds. Stay safe while the gale winds are blowing.

Don’t know the wind speeds yet. Yesterday I heard they were expecting gales here and up to 85 mph on Cape Cod. Am looking forward to the actual numbers.
