This is quite a funny presentation. I'd discuss it but I'd rather you watch instead. Total runtime--5:52. Safe for work.

I was hooting toward the end. Click here or at the link above.

There was a business/globalization aspect to this I found humorous.

I watched it for awhile, but I still don’t know what HALO refers to! My edumacated guesstimate is that it’s some kind of kid’s video game. Is that right?

It’s a videogame. I’ve never played it, but I understand it’s quite addicting . . . that’s the source of the humor behind this piece.

I love that woman’s tone of voice as she explains everything.

I’m not a “gamer”, mostly because I’m worried that it might conflict with my main identity which is “grown man”. But I found the idea somewhat funny anyway.

I am laughing as well. Could this be the Boomers’ revenge?

sigh. Here we go. I am a "gamer" and have been one since the mid-80's when I was very young, say 3 or 4-years-old. Let me assure you that I am a "grown man" who takes care of his family, work, and other responsibilities.

Being a gamer has more to do with how one enjoys one's free time. While some might enjoy watching baseball and football, for example, I'd rather play Halo or some PC game or read a book. It's just another hobby. "Gamer" isn't an insult anymore than "Sportsfan" would be.

No kidding. I am glad my husband is secure enough in his adulthood to enjoy gaming with me. I’m more the World of Warcraft than the Halo type but I like being a gamer.

I had to give up on WOW when we had our baby. Had to let go of my level 60 human priest almost 2 years ago =). Couldn’t justify spending $x per month, even though Blizzard makes fantastic games. I’m really excited for StarCraft 2 to come out. Right now I’m just playing free stuff online. So, Alliance or Horde?

Mostly Alliance though I have a low-level Blood Elf. High level hunter, got a mage past 40 and I’m trying a druid now.

Though we’ve been having issues lately because I keep wanting to play WOW and he wants to spend more time on EVE. Ah, the headaches of married life...

Now EVE, there’s a game I sorely miss as well. There was so much involved in training, but the graphics are great, and so is the storyline. I keep up with both WOW and EVE’s stories because they’re both so well written. You going to try our the Death Knight when it comes out for the Expansion?

Gamer here as well. We have a lot of activities that we do as a family, and some activities that we do on our own. Everything in moderation as they say. Killing an army of ferocious Brutes and Kamikaze Grunts is incredible therapy when you have the time.

Probably. Depends on what our current interests are when the expansion comes out. I might be back on an EVE kick by then.

I only play two computer games: EVE (that I started about a year ago), and Alpha Centauri (that is a Sid Meier 1999 release that inspired the Civilization series).

I play EVE just to buy and sell stuff, mostly . . . it's practically the only shopping I do anywhere. :)

Anyone here who plays EVE and wishes to introduce themselves please send me a FRmail.

Casts “resurrect thread” spell on thread. Any Diablo, Diablo II, Lord of Destruction or Continuum players out there?
