Coach Gundy is upset after the win over Texas Tech. The only comments after the game are about what was in a newspaper about one of his quaterbacks.

You can bet the Stone Age Press is going to come after the coach now.

I will say...her comments about Reid's eating chicken from his mom...were out of line.

Of course she's a lib....and that's what they do.

When you see it from that perspective...it makes sense.

Saw the vid. Read the article.

The drive-by reporterette wrote an acid-laced sarcastic hit-job article not worthy of a sports page. Trying to make a name for herself? Perhaps.

But Gundy was right-on, though his reactive move took him over the top. He’d probably like to have that one back but from the people I’ve talked to it’s 50/50 thumbs up-or-down.

Dallas’ 1310AM “The Ticket” has his “I’m a man, I’m 40” clipped for laughs. It IS funny.

It is about 1/3 of the page down on the right hand side:

And the upside for the program as a whole is tremendous. Hopefully this rallies the team together and motivates them. On top of that, kids want to play for him now and parents will no doubt want their kids to play for him.

Well, that's a good thing. He seems to be a one-of-a-kind coach to go all out for a player like that. I wish him and his team all the best.

I’m a sooners fan. I cheer for texas when they play OSU. Never much cared for Gundy. But he went a ways up on my rating scale. Jeni Carlson needs to be working for Entertainment Tonight writting a gossip column. She is lousy as a sports writer. I say way to go Gundy!

The problem with her reporting is it was so indicative of what we see on Iraq, politics and just about everything else. To attack Bobby Reid on his playing ability is one thing but when she makes it personal and fabricates events, and implies Bobby Reid is a “momma’s boy” because she saw her feeding him chicken after a game she did not go to, she has crossed the line and shows more talent to be writing for The National Enquirer instead of a newspaper. The entire article was filled with things like “word is...., rumor is....., insiders say....”.

She has had a history of things like that. This summer during the PGA in Tulsa she wrote this airhead article about how Tiger Woods should be more like John Daily. I assume she wants him out smoking cigarettes, drinking and gambling every night.

I also think the other problem is Bobby Reid is a darn fine kid and has handled his demotion to the 2nd team much, much better than most of the adults have. The kid goes to class, he is a gentleman to everyone and has worked his fanny off helping the new QB during practice. If she wants to degrade a kid there are plenty of “Michael Vicks” in the sports world that she can write about. I wish my mother was still alive so she could feed me chicken.

Sometimes people have to go postal in order to get the attention of the idiot press. All of you are already aware of how they report things to their personal viewpoints so I won’t bother you with that.

Her column was just tacky and catty, though. It wasn’t so much about the player and his attitude as it was an attempt to portray him as a loser and a mama’s boy. She ought to write the celebrity gossip column instead of a sports column if that’s all the better she can do.

I am a woman, but I think this movement to make women sportswriters and sideline commentators on men’s sports is silly. You can tell they have no idea what they are talking about.
