I swear that every time yesterday when the scoreboard ticker at the bottom screen scrolled back to that game the score had changed.

I was just thinking... Where does the prosecution of the videogate thing end?, Should the commish also punish Crennel and the Browns, Mangina and his Jets, Charlie Weis and his fighting Irish?....Is Notre Dame now tainted? Or is this just a “Let’s get Bill Belichek” and pile on?

Re:And to think that the Redskins fight song was once the porperty of Clint Murchison, the original owner of the Dallas Cowboys. How sweet is that?

Gadzooks! Forgot... about that!

From http://forums.heraldtribune.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5791054365/m/3811021836/p/2

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboys-Redskins_rivalry

Texas oil tycoon Clint Murchison was having a hard time bringing an NFL team to Dallas. He tried buying two teams, but the negotiations fell through. In 1958, Murchison heard that George Preston Marshall, owner of the Washington Redskins, was eager to sell the team. Just as the sale was about to be finalized, Marshall called for a change in terms. Murchison was outraged and cancelled the whole deal.

Around this time, Marshall had a falling out with the Redskin band director, Barnee Breeskin. Breeskin had written the music to the Redskins fight song, now a staple at the stadium; additionally, Marshall's wife penned the lyrics to the song. Breeskin wanted revenge after the failed negotiations with Marshall. He approached Tom Webb, Murchison’s lawyer, and sold the rights for $2,500.

Murchison then decided to create his own team, with the support of NFL expansion committee chairman, George Halas. Halas decided to put the proposition of a Dallas franchise before the NFL owners, which needed to have unanimous approval in order to pass. The only owner against the proposal was George Preston Marshall. However, Marshall found out that Murchison owned the rights to Washington's fight song, so a deal was finally struck. If Marshall showed his approval of the Dallas franchise, Murchison would return the song. The Cowboys were then founded, and the legendary rivalry began.

Heck the Browns offensive explosion yesterday should also be investigated since Crennel is their coach. Then again their defense is pretty simple...it’s the Bengals defense they were facing.

It was a fun game to watch...if your a Browns fan. ONly Chuck Bresnahan has the capability to turn another teams third string quarterback, with only four NFL starts, into the second coming of Steve Young in a Super Bowl.

We used high draft picks on Defense since Marvin Lewis arrived. We’ve picked up some big name FA’s that were supposed to shore up the porous run defense and put pressure on quarterbacks. We’ve blitzed, we’ve played soft cover 2 in a dozen variations.

But we get these annual implosions on D every year. If you are a Bengals fan, or even a casual NFL fan, you remember the Bengals defense giving up 42 points in 11 minutes last year in a game they should have won going away.

Damnedest thing I’ve ever seen. This team is neurotic, to say the least.

I can’t believe Chuck Bresnahan has a job this morning. Its not like this is an occasional ‘thing’ with him. he’s been riding the Raiders last trip to the Super Bowl, a season where they made it to the SB IN SPITE OF THEIR DEFENSE.

when will the Bengals kick him off the freakin bus?

Sheesh, I’m just sick about it. Palmer throws SIX TD PASSES and we LOSE?

God almighty....

It looked more like a West Virginia-Louisville game.

After having a nights rest and time to reflect I am actually disappointed in the Pats performance last night. They should have put up at least 50 points and giving up those two TD is unacceptable.I hope this team can get its act together.Hopefully they can come up with another way to cheat so they can win by bigger margins. ;)

Sounds like Belichick’s talking points today.

Get this. I’m listening to Bruschi and Warren being interviewed on WEEI and according to them there was a lot of smack being talked last night.

Listening to his post game presser it was funny how he wouldn’t give anything more than his normal say nothing responses to questions. The man has learned a lot about dealing the media and that is to give them nothing. The fans want winning seasons and playoff appearances and they showed him what they thought about him last night and that’s what matters.

I also don’t believe a word from Kraft that he didn’t know what was going on. He’s afraid of getting his nuts squeezed any further than the Commish has and so if he needs to make BB the fall guy then so be it. This is nothing more than a PR scandal that you would expect a republican to face with everything being blown way out of proportion.

What sorts of smack was being talked last night?

The Chargers talking smack? Seriously, letting Marty go was a huge mistake for that team. LT is the worst RB in the league now statistically and next week they go to GB who is playing very well. Look for a Packers “upset” this weekend.

What should be the story of the day, is how did the Texans get so damn good so quickly?

They didn’t mention anything specific but apparently Rivers and Vrabel were really going at it.

I'm very pleased with Morris as well. The Patriots have more offensive weapons this year (and depth) than any other NFL team - including the Colts.

This team looks like the best of the Belichick era. The Super Bowl is theirs to lose. Mike & Mike on ESPN this morning were talking undefeated season.

What’s laughable is that Turner was so paranoid he had his players remember their first 15 offensive plays rather than write them down for them. Gee Bill wasn’t in Turner’s head was he?

I wonder how Carr felt yesterday standing on the sidelines and watching Schaub doing what he never could do with the Texans’ offense.

The Chargers are going to be regretting letting Marty go and replacing him with this dud. The Chargers lack any discipline or focus. I really think they will have a hard time even making the playoffs unless they really turn it around in a hurry. Oakland nearly beat Denver yesterday, Denver is good, KC is the only team in that division that isn’t any good.

I don’t know, Pittsburgh is looking pretty good out of the gate as well.
