Kathy Griffin's Bravo series "My Life on the D-List" won the Emmy for "Best Reality Program (non-competition).
Her speech was memorable, in which she refused to thank Jesus.
"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this. He had nothing to do with this," Griffin said. "Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now."
The comic has won that Emmy she’s long coveted.
Glad I'm not the only one.
Let us pray that it be so. While there is life, there is also the opportunity for repentance.
I should add that I judge only the objective meaning of the words she spoke, which are clearly a rejection of God and the worship of a (remarkably pathetic) creature. I do not presume to judge the contents of her mind, or the condition of her soul. That Judgement is God’s, and His alone.
I have never heard of this person, but she seems to be an expert in all aspects of sucking.

A different point, but speaking of gratuitous attacks, this thread is filled with "whore" "skank" "ugly" etc etc. Kathy Griffin spoke poorly, but many here are doing the same and perhaps feeling like good Christians while they do it.
I agree. Why the toleration -- perhaps even expectation -- for a petulance which we would never stomache in a mature human being?
What a Bar Hag! What did Jesus ever do to her to deserve that?
I predict in 2 years time her ratings will be down, so she’ll publicly “find Jesus”. Then we’ll never hear the end of it.

A very Christian sentiment, in my humble opinion. Thank you for posting it.
She has everything she ever wanted: her own TV show, invitations to Hollywood parties, an Emmy, etc. She has had a raft of plastic surgeries as well.
However, her last husband married her only to rip off as much money from her personal bank accounts as he thought he could safely conceal.
I feel sorry for her - I would not trade places with her for all the whiskey in Ireland.
This is getting redundant, but what the hey, I guess I'm in for the long haul. It really doesn't matter what her point of view is. Either she accepts Christ as her Savior or she doesn't. And if she does, she'd know the difference between trite remarks and blasphemy.
Is she wrong to speak this way? Yes. But I think Almighty God will take her into Him in due time, when her soul is ready for Him.
God's not taking anyone into Him unless she accepts Him as her salvation. If she doesn't then her soul will never be ready for Him.
Mat 12:36 "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,". These are Christ's words. I doubt her explanation that she was just joking will suffice. After all, she mocks his sacrifice.

Hmmmm. Quote from Kathy Griffin’s last ‘show’ I saw on Bravo:

I’d say that rates both whore and skank.....and then there is the fact some of us have seen her ‘D list’ reality show, and understand she requires massive amounts of makeup, and body paint...and a boob job...and a liposuction..and, and and.
In summary, Ms Griffin has clawed her way to the middle, and is now screwing her way back down...literally and figuratively.
Perhaps the root of her ugly comment springs from the sudden death of her father last year, or the divorce from the former bodyguard....I don’t know.
One of her favorite topics is to ramble on and on about her butt crack sweat.
She likes being a shock jock, a Rosanne wannabe.

Been there, done it, bought the t-shirt.....(rejecting mass-produced culture).....so why don’t you try listening to indy chrisitian music? Note I said INDY ..... some of the top “Christian” acts so similar to mainstream junk it’s indistinguishable (esp in their behavior)......BTW, my son is in the music scence, and have been backstage at both secular and “Christian” music venues.....like everything else, hang around and watch how people treat the “little people”.
Anyway, I think you would enjoy INDY music — if you find your genre. No corporate guy telling the indy bands what to play!
