Kathy Griffin's Bravo series "My Life on the D-List" won the Emmy for "Best Reality Program (non-competition).
Her speech was memorable, in which she refused to thank Jesus.
"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this. He had nothing to do with this," Griffin said. "Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now."
The comic has won that Emmy shes long coveted.

Her mouth is smiling, but her eyes are not. It is a face saying different things at the same time.

He'll forgive.Only the repentant heart can receive the gift of reconciliation. The spirit of rebellion cannot dwell in the House of God.

Look for her to join the list of mouth-abusers that have bitten the dust in violent ways. It shouldn’t be long.

“It seems to me that we are all children of God.”
It may seem so to you, but it’s not found in the Bible. Christ told the pharisees that, because they rejected Him, their father was Satan (John 8:42-44).
The Bible is clear: God forgives those who seek His forgiveness and His sacrifice on the cross. Until this woman repents and turns to Christ, she is no child of God.

She’d leave a helluva a rainbow stain on a pillow case by next morning.
Better plan on slipping out of the apartment before she wakes up. You may never recover from the scare.

So, the Ten Commandments only apply to professed Christians and Jews. All other heathens get a pass. Those d@mn heathens got it good! How do I get on that bus? OTH, I think I'll play it safe.

I’m starting to think that the “Seinfeld Curse” is that once you were on his show, you get so desperate for attention that you are incapable of keeping your fat mouth shut and you spew a bunch of liberalism that forever taints the role you played on Seinfeld.

Actually, if Griffin had made clear that she was only joking, the comment about Fanning may have been fairly funny, and dead-on satire.

I pity her at judgement time.
To: finnman69
doubt this was an intentional slam on religion, but just a really bad jokeProbably true.
(Although she is quoted at another time as saying "Religion is crap.")
To: bcsco
I doubt she has a clue as to the meaning of His sacrifice.Of course she doesn't. She wouldn't say such a stupid thing if she did.
Yet, the bridge is still there. It's never burned. But the Holy Spirit has to initiate the walk across. She can't do that on her own. Will He?
As long as her heart remains hard, doubtful. It takes some major crisis to reach people like her. She'll have to learn the hard way that her puny little trophy she considers her god is as worthless as the golden calf was centuries ago.

To: SupplySider
Her comment was crude and ugly, but I dont understand the idea expressed on this thread that God will take offense and damn her for eternity. Shouldnt God be at least as as forgiving as most people?
Forgiving if a person is truely repentent and ASKS for forgiveness.
To: SupplySider
She may have offended a lot of people, but in the larger picture it probably doesn’t mean much. Blasphemers have always been with us and always will. I don’t think the Lord will be greatly harmed. I mean, look, it’s a washed-up, third-rate cable TV comic going up against the One Through Whom All Things Were Made. I know where the smart money is on that wager.

They kept running commercials/promos for this homo-wannabe "hosting" the Homosexual Porn Movie Awards.

I keep thinking of the statement in the Mishnah, where one is asked how to serve God. I'm reminded of Tarphon's answer, it was not yours to start with, it is not yours to finish either. God is never to be trifled with and in serving our Creator we must never bring shame on our ancestors and set an example for our posterity. I think this is what the Sage meant by his cryptic answer. We put ourselves in a reverential frame of mind and all well go will with us. That is the important thing in how we deal with God, for our life in this world is a prelude to the life in the World To Come.
