Appalachian St Kicks Liberal Michigan's BU##!

That’s what you deserve when you re-elect Granholm as governor.

And Wake Forest [down the street from App State] is up 14-0 vs Boston College. And NC State plays and UNC plays tonite. Great NC football day ping....

Oh. My. GOD. They are going insane a few hours west of here in Boone right now, I’ll bet.
This gives me hope that my preseason I-AA #8 James Madison Dukes can walk into the People’s Republic of Chapel Hill tonight and slap down the UNC Tarheels!

By far one of the biggest upsets around--well, actually not given that Appalachian State DID win the NCAA Division 1-AA championship last year (e.g, not exactly a pushover).
To: SelectiveJNJ
Someone should really start a weekly thread on FR that deals with all the college football games played during that particular week.
To: SelectiveJNJ
I hardly think it is the biggest upset in college football history. Appy has won the last 2 1-AA championships. I would wager to say they have in the neighborhood of the 40 to 50th best team in the country in all divisions. And the B10/11 is always ranked high at the start of the season, just because of their name.
Upset yes. Biggest upset, nah.
I watched much of it, fun game.

Congrats to App St....wherever that is. That FG kicker is gonna have a rough night.

I am sooo excited! Saw the game on DirecTV. I live in Boone and the town is going crazy.
A Michigan fan told our radio sports page (talk radio) that Michigan considered the game a scrimmage game for Michigan. Cockiness will get you to lose. Go ASU!!!!

I was born in University of Michigan’s hospital, so I’m a University of Michigan baby whether I want to be one or not. Both of my parents graduated from there. This is the worst football start for them, ever.
