The other day I saw a 18-20 year old wash her feet in a store's sink...

Could it have been a Muslim? I saw that in the Middle East. Something aobut having to wash one's feet before prayer.

I knew there was a reasonable explanation ... babies do what babies do ... I can’t imagine that the absence of a diaper tells them to hold their functions.

Had to train my grandson not to pee on trees when he is in town. No way will I trot across 600 feet of yard to find a toilet, never expected he would either. I sure do have some pretty trees!

I don’t understand. What is really wrong with washing your feet in a sink? Why is that different than washing your hands in a sink? Your feet are probably cleaner than your hands are after going to the bathroom.

I realise it’s awkward to get one’s feet into a sink, but why does having someone wash their feet in a sink bother people?

Isis works at a preschool for homeless children.

Good for Isis. She should be able to see the effects of poor hygiene first hand!

>>Isis Arnesen, 33, of Boston, has a 14-week-old daughter, Lucia, who is diaper-free. She said it can be awkward to explain the process to people, such as when she helped Lucia relieve herself in a sink at a public restroom.<<

THIRD WORLD MENTALITY.

If she had taken the child into a stall to hold it over a toilet, no one would have known that she is such a special, enlightened parent, so above us neanderthals..

BINGO! Nailed it!

Well, I don’t know, but I think it’s a lot better than seeing 3 & 4 year olds in diapers.

Isn’t that illegal? Putting human waste in the environment?

Not to mention unsanitary?

Third world hell holes are that in part because of the lack of sanitation.

Besides, that’s only going to work in a climate that allows your child to run around naked.

Parents who practice the so-called "elimination communication" learn to read their children's body language to help them recognize the need, and they mimic the sounds that a child associates with the bathroom.

Makes you wonder who's really getting trained there.

That must be a real hoot when you see the showoffs letting their babies relieve themselves in the sinks.

"His mother took the diaper-less tot to a tree in the yard, held him in a squatting position and made a gentle hissing sound — prompting the infant to relieve himself on cue before he rushed back to play."

Somebody call the Health Dept. on these morons!

Weird is not the word for it; UNSANITARY is.

The same way the one’s who are dropping off their little bundles at daycare.

Hard to find a diaperless daycare?

Too bad.
