Wait til Hillary! hears THIS!......
Second-degree Murder?!
What I’d like to know is why he picked that as his method for killing his wife - a lot of people have survived falls like that.
What a dum-dum and what a grisly way to die.
Socialized health care
Federally mandated chain link fences around every balcony.
Yep - that’s what I thought too.
I think you mean a net - fence wouldn’t be useful for this.
If she was that ill, why didn’t he take her to the hospital?
A pillow would have been nicer.
He did not want to pay for her medical bills.
What totally frosts me is the way the Press worded it. He threw his wife to death “because he could no longer afford to pay...” What a crock. He threw her to his death because he was a weasely, weak coward.
When I think of all the people that serve as caregivers - and especially those who are longterm caregivers - for their elderly parents, for their disabled children, etc. and they don’t give up and throw the kid/parent off the balcony, etc. and then the Press uses the word “because.” The lack of money didn’t CAUSE this!! Arrrgh -I am frustrated with our society beyond words.
I didn’t know Mikey Schiavo’s wife was even sick....
Heh-Heh. Yeah, really.
Fool, he should have simply withheld nutrition and hydration, which we all know results in a euphoric passing. /sarc
Every time I read a story like this, I wonder why people don’t understand or forget how difficult it is to find a wife in the first place. I didn’t get married until I was 37, and I remember enough about the agonies of being single that I won’t be pushing my wife off a balcony under any circumstances.
I am in no way excusing premeditated murder. That is exactly what it is. However, the husband may have been mentally ill or deranged from the stress of his wife’s illness.
There is no excuse for killings like this which happen regularly.
Medicaid will pay for care for the disabled. There are many care options available. The family does not have to do it alone. Caregivers need to seek out support and help.
YOU sound like a saint, but I know exactly how you feel. My husband, even with all his flaws, is so precious to me that I get really emotional if I even think of him becoming ill or hurt in any way.
I do have empathy for this man’s suffering but where was his support network (i.e. church, family co-workers, etc.)? There are lots of people out there willing to help people.
Yes, but there are many cases everyday of “abandoned” elderly at hospitals and other places. He didn’t have to kill her. This is just plain insanity......
The writer had an agenda to fill, obviously.........
