A 31-year-old Latino man surrendered in connection with the execution-style killings of three college students in New Jersey, officials said.
Jose Carranza, 31, whose fingerprint was lifted from a bottle, turned himself in on Thursday afternoon.
Mayor Cory Booker earlier had announced a $150,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Carranza, who they say has three prior arrests and one pending trial.
On Wednesday night, police arrested a 15-year-old Hispanic boy, who along with Carranza is charged with murder, attempted murder, robbery, weapons offenses and conspiracy to commit the crime of robbery, Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow said.
“We believe that others were involved in this heinous crime,” she said.
The sole survivor of Saturday night's shootings, 19-year-old Natasha Aeriel, provided information from her hospital bed after being shot in the head. Aeriel was with her brother, Terrance Aeriel, 18; Dashon Harvey, 20; and Iofemi Hightower, 20 — who were forced to kneel against a wall and were shot dead at close range outside a Newark school.

Sorry, you don’t line up three defenseless strangers and execute them for a robbery. I am betting this was a gang initiation.
The New York Times quotes the mayor as saying that this is not in any way a “bias” crime. That means that it probably is: Hispanics killing blacks, I am guessing. The news-coverage cover-up is telling me that this is related to Hispanic-Black rivalry.
So why don’t they say so? If the perpectrators were white, it would surely be duly noted.
He apparently left a beer bottle with his fingerprint on it so he was probably drunk!
Wouldn’t the 15 year old be able to finger the other perpetrators? I am expecting more arrests soon.
If the prison they wind up serving time in is segregated by block I certainly hope these criminals are put in with the black inmates.

sad thing is... all four of these young adults that were shot had something going for them. Not that this type of thing should happen to anyone (except for the guys that did this crime)... but these kids were working hard at doing something with their lives... going to college, working at the university... I still tell my kids, there’s no reason for you to be “hanging out” on the streets. there’s nothing out there but trouble. you can be the best kids in the world... it’s the other people out there that I worry about.
