Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Ah - we saw that construction site! Wow - like a candy store!
I sense a marathon shopping day. :-)
Glad you’re back.
Welcome back! Glad it was a safe trip and a good one all around.
Thanks!
Whew...interesting first day back. It was the first day of work for our new employee, and the gal who’s going to be training her was working at another location, so I did as much training and intro as I could. All while jet lagged from the time difference and from getting only four hours of sleep night before last. I kept losing my train of thought over and over and over... I probably left her good and confused. ;-)
Ah well. Builds character. Or something.
Yep! I’ve seen that site. Should be pretty nifty!
I still want a Trader Joe’s and a Frye’s. Oh, and an REI. I mean...if we MUST have box stores, might as well have the really fun ones.
Heh, well you’re practically in the birthplace of REI. There’s one in Tacoma that’s pretty good. The [sigh] flagship store is in Redmond. Its... [Shudder] exquisite.
There’s a Frys in Renton and its worth the trip. There’s Trader Joes seems like all over up here. So... You’re not too far afield. :-)
But Tacoma is *town*!
*shudder*
Actually, I did attempt to find the Tacoma REI once. I got totally lost about three times and finally gave up. I should try again one of these days when I’m up that way anyhow.
Cabela’s is better than REI. We hit one on the way back from Colorado and stocked up.
Whew, surprise ‘open house’ at work. Well, sort of surprise, HR did not bother to tell us until Friday. We talked to a lot of people, none of whom were interested in the position in my group.
Cabela’s doesn’t have stuff like bike lights, though. Or other bike goodies.
My bag arrived OK at work, so I finally get to unpack. I’m having to fight off cats, though. They’re fascinated with the Return of the Suitcase.
Hmm, I suppose... Cabela’s has a billion other nice things though. Like clip-on sunglasses that actually fit my frames.
Ugh... tired... got home and grouted the bar top and helped Talon lay tile on our little hearth for our electric fireplace, finally. One of these days we’ll have to get more pictures... things changed a lot this weekend...
I love REI. I love the smell of *gear* when you walk in the door.
Speaking of which, I just staffed my MI-5 team for the #2 subplot.
Yah, and you ain't kidding. That, and its smack in the middle of the 38th ST/Tacoma Mall traffic fiasco. I was just there on Saturday to pick up some stuff for my new-improved "go bag"... And it was no fun.
Funnier yet I went there because I hate driving into Redmond. :-)
I find myself looking at ice-axes, even though I don’t need one. :-)
They come in handy when you’re dealing with ice-holes.
Ack, I want to plot but I have due dates in my class this weekend...
So I’m downloading OneNote. I’ll use it to write my termpaper I hope, and as a stop gap on story planning. When I get fed up with research I’ll work on story.
Work has been busy and challenging lately, I haven’t had any plotting time. No fair, huh?
*snort*
Welcome to the Dark Side! Mwahahahaha!
Fargin’ bastadges...
