If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Sylvia Plath - Polly's Tree
A dream tree, Polly's tree:
a thicket of sticks,
each speckled twig
ending in a thin-paned
leaf unlike any
other on it
or in a ghost flower
flat as paper and
of a color
vaporish as frost-breath,
more finical than
any silk fan
the Chinese ladies use
to stir robin's egg
air. The silver-
haired seed of the milkweed
comes to roost there, frail
as the halo
rayed round a candle flame,
a will-o'-the-wisp
nimbus, or puff
of cloud-stuff, tipping her
queer candelabrum.
Palely lit by
snuff-ruffed dandelions,
white daisy wheels and
a tiger faced
pansy, it glows. O it's
no family tree,
Polly's tree, nor
a tree of heaven, though
it marry quartz-flake,
feather and rose.
It sprang from her pillow
whole as a cobweb
ribbed like a hand,
a dream tree. Polly's tree
wears a valentine
arc of tear-pearled
bleeding hearts on its sleeve
and, crowning it, one
blue larkspur star.

Good morning Soaring Feather. That poem certainly was interesting. It is a little heavy for my coffee starved brain.

Hello Meg, thank you. Such a lovely frame, I love the blue in the flowers fabulous.
Sylvia Plath was a haunted woman and unfortunately committed suicide a number of years ago. One of her most noted works was a book named The Bell Jar. I read the book in the 80s, she and her work are often discussed in major universities.
I hope your back is not hurting you today. Just kick back and take it easy.
Oh Meg, I nearly forgot to tell you this. I have a cobbed together finch seed feeder filled with finch seed. Well for years nothing as come to it, today I had many little birds feeding from it, I was so excited to see them. Hope they remember it and will come back. Joy, joy!

;o)
Good news that you have birds at your feeder! I had a new young raccoon last night..I could tell because he doesn’t limp and has no brown coloring in his tail..I am so concerned with the lame one that now I will be putting out twice the food ..LOL.
I am familiar with Plath somewhat and her suicide.
My back isn’t hurting at the moment because I am in bed with the heating pad and am trying to stay out of awkward positions when typing..This is a real flareup and I can’t remain in any position standing or sitting long without pain..It’s just something I have learned to deal with..I am so grateful I can get relief..Some cannot.
It has limited my computer fun....bummer! I love to “play” on the computer.

WE have a little garden, A garden of our own, And every day we water there The seeds that we have sown.
WE love our little garden, And tend it with such care, You will not find a faced leaf Or blighted blossom there.

Yes, too much. Never should have opened FR on both PCs.
It runs in the family.

It gets worse when you have several windows open at the same time on one PC. You get very interesting comments back from the other end that say something like “Say What?” Then you try to remember what was said and to whom.

I only have 4 windows open on the old pc, but have 18 open in the newer one. I can’t remember anything from one thread to another but it’s exciting.

Now I will forever be in the dark, you did not ping me so I have no idea which thread you posted to.
Lovely poem and graphic. Works well for me. ;)
To: Soaring Feather
Oh yeah, there's that, too.
You can find our little garden on a thread referring to coercive legislation.

Eyes as deep blue as the pool below Hidden Falls
Hair the shifting tints of a miser’s golden dream
Hands as soft as a thought and as light as air
Lips that whisper her need and my delight
A lovely image captured in my fading sight
Held in place within with such tender care
A memory among many that remains fresh it seems
As I wander the long road of fate to its sad call

Dreamy Poem
Hidden in a surreal world
her image, a mirage drifts
glimpses of a half seen dream
lay scattered all about
in dark blue eyes a reflection
glitters of a dreamscape land
a soft a delicate hand extents
waving as a breeze in soft clouds
dispersing cloud form to the heavens
some floating to the dew covered ground.
A mirage, a vision, a surreal grand opera
filtering into a late summer night
played on a lofty, airy stage
drifting away into the edges of dawn.
