I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)
I have found a 1987 Ford station wagon I am thing about getting, probably will not but I sure like it.

I have NEVER liked suburbia. The rules that “protect” one’s property also limit you. I am quite a libertarian in some areas.
For me a mountain top owning acreage & not even seeing your closest neighbor is about right.
Most of my life was surrounded by people.
For the past 18 years I haven't been, other than pets, widelife and nature....12 acres of it...
I can't imagine going back. Not that I didn't enjoy my neighbors, I did. They were kind, but if I want to go out to the pond at noon with jammies on, I can. If someone get a glimpse of me, that's their problem. ;-)
Rav, remember when I asked for financial prayers a bit ago? Well, one of the things worrying us was a stucco wall the HMO told us we had to "fix". We have two HMO's in Reston the overall Reston Association and the cluster association. Well, we just fixed it twoo years ago for the Reston Assoc., now the cluster assoc is telling us we need to fix it! Sheesh!! Of course, 6 years ago, when they told us to fix the whole house (this wall is a firewall and one cannot viynl side it to permanately fix it) and we didn't have the money, thye snidely handed us applications to borrow the money.

I agree. No matter what the courts have ruled, HMOs are unconstitutional, imho.
Well, my FReeper family, it is NO LONGER a big joke. Just like in the 90's when the most disgraceful, arrogant jackass that this country has ever 'elected' to inhabit and cohabit the Oval Office, proved that it was NO LONGER 'politics as usual' (RE: it was always 'politics as usual....they ALL do it'....in the 90's), they still refer to Congress being in recess as 'safe', the most dangerous Congress, arguably in history, that I believe I have ever experienced, is now in recess and we are truly 'safe' for a brief time from true socialism and the possibility that we may lose everything we have.
I apologize if I didn't get this spoken as clearly as I had desired. But, I'm sure you all know what I mean.
You are very clear. They are socialists, traitors bent on selling out our country and everything for which our ancestors worked and gave to us.
