Paris 'to sing in rock musical'
Paris Hilton served 23 days of a 45-day jail sentence
Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton has landed a part in the movie version of a futuristic rock musical, according to trade magazine Variety. She will sing in Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is set in 2056 when the human race is almost destroyed and survival depends on organ transplants.
Director Darren Lynn Bousman said he auditioned 30 actresses for the part.
"Paris came in and owned it," he told Hollywood trade journal Variety. "She is this role."
The reality TV star has signed up to play the daughter of an organ transplant magnate played by Paul Sorvino, the magazine reported.
Repo! originally made its debut as a stage musical in 2005 on Broadway.
This will be Hilton's first acting role since she was released from jail for violating probation after a driving ban.
Last year, Hilton launched a pop career by releasing a self-titled album, which reached number six in the US charts.
As well as starring alongside best friend Nicole Richie in TV reality show The Simple Life, Hilton has also appeared in films such as House of Wax and Raising Helen.

Who cares!! Hilton is a poster girl with lotsa money. She is neither talented, pretty and she doesn’t have a brain in her head. She’s choking on her silver spoon but it doesn’t matter. She’ll never be broke.

Considering her Grandfather has cut off her $60 Million inheritance for her behavior and is giving it to charity, if she must end up leaning on her musical talent, I expect to see her dancing table-tops at upscale “gentlemen’s clubs” in a few years. (She can’t sing)

I might rent it at Blockbuster after it drops off the new releases list. $1.99 Tuesday thru Thursday. Unless Paris shows skin, in which case there’s not enough medicine in the world to fight the nausea.

No, she probably has all the talent of a rock. The reason why you chose her is because of her notoriety. At least be honest about it.
