Tell the guy to watch Man vs Wilds for learning survival skills, Yank. He may need them after he leaves you. ;)

No ma'am... no need to watch tv. He can just follow me around! ; )

Morning!

Good morning!

OK. Not lost my mind. Gotta try it. Fellow told me last night at church to take a brown bag, small, crumble it up and hang it at you door and the flies won’t come int the house, they think it is a wasp next and wasp eat fly’s. Hey I was in a church when the guy told me this, we will soon find out I guess cause I am going to do it this morning, fly invasion here.

In the 50’s I was stationed in Alaska, Fairbanks. Three of us decided to go bear hunting, went way deep into the woods, pitched our tents near a clean, clear running stream, trounced off into the woods, all day, did not see a bear, Went back to the camp, a bear had come into the camp and tore everything we had to pieced.

Shoulda stayed in camp.

I was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, outside Anchorage, for a few weeks before being shipped off to the Aleutians in 1977.

We tried to get a team together to play in a softball tournament in Fairbanks, but could not muster enough fellows. (All expenses and air travel provided by Uncle Sam.)

I couldn't believe it!

Good morning everybody. Last evening we went over to the recording studio and did some experimentation. We’ll be rehearsing this afternoon and hopefully (!) lay down some tracks tonight.

Same for tomorrow and Wednesday will be the big push at the studio.

The oddest thing happened this morning. I discovered a flatpick (what I use to play guitar) in the bed linens. I’ve NEVER seen it before or one like it and Mr. Prairie says he doesn’t know a thing about it either.

Obviously it somehow got carried in here and left....by somebody or somehow....during the last festival. But how did it end up in the bed linens??

Perhaps the flatpick fairy left it for me. At any rate I’m going to try it out in a little while, it has an interesting grip.

No injuries. PTL! But, just how does a train become a runaway? What was the cause of this incident?
