I am not allowed to make a widow out of the wife so soon after we were married NEVER good to make a widow out of the wife! We had LOTS of arguments even before engagement (I won one: we now have not one but way too many of these instruments of Satan in the household, though most aren't allowed anyway near an active power outlet, much less an Internet connection) -- but over the past quarter-plus-century the only difference I'd have made is: introduce her to computers sooner!! *\;-)

I’m back. I’ve read through the posts.
We had a lot of travel through a lot of rain, and we’re having rain today.
Despite the long hours behind the wheel, I managed to squeeze in enough time to finish the last Harry Potter book.
And for some reason, after having had all this fun, it is now time to go back to work.
Actually, that is a good thing. I need the rest.
Later.

Strep throat can lead to rheumatic fever which in turn can lead to heart disease. Strep can also lead to scarlet fever, which is deadly.
I’ve had rheumatic fever twice, and I’m here to tell you, it is not fun.

I am NOT having an easy time of it.
Day five on anti-biotics and I am not over it yet.

Be careful where you go. You can spread strep without being in the fever stage.
The best thing is rest, and drink lots of chicken soup! LOL!
Rest and liquids. Just please take care of you!

"Send us some rain!" Oops! Sorry. I've already released it out to sea. It's just south of Cape Cod right now.
What can I say? The fish were looking thirsty.

Gulp. Just got a phone call from my boss-to-be. He’s over here (meaning North America) meeting with one of the VPs at HQ now to hash out the details of my new “specially for me” job.

Still dry and hot here, at least until the weekend. Then clouds are forecast. I won’t know about the rain until Thursday, since the weather prognosticaters are seldom accurate more than two days out.

I’m still feeling tired (wiped out) on day five of the medication.
The throat has cleared up quite a bit though.

If you push yourself, you will feel MUCH worse, and that’s not going to help you OR your new bride!
Sleep as much as you can and let your body heal itself!
