We’re looking for things for Hallowe’en costumes. Several of the children have now decided to be Harry Potter characters. We’ll probably find some things we can use at the Salvation Army store, but we didn’t have time to go through the racks this morning; it will have to be another day when we’re not *all* together.

Good morning Face. I’m sipping on a energy drink to no avail.

My daughter uses the energy drinks, too, but I prefer cocoa!
It perks me up or it lets me sleep. And if you add cinnamon, it will help to settle an upset stomach. :o])

Ohyah! With no kids at home, Halloween escapes me, until I go into Wally World. Then I feel like I’m in a spook alley.

It’s good you’re going early! Harry Potter may be quite popular this year!

I’m sure we won’t be the only ones. If we hit the right store, maybe we can find some choir or graduation robes that we can wonk into Hogwarts school robes.

Anoreth’s going to be Nymphadora Tonks (character from books 5-7, with purple hair) and her friend Katrina is going to be Bellatrix Lestrange, the Death Eater. I think we’ve talked Bill into being young James Potter, Harry’s dad. Anoreth is making wands for everyone; maybe she can even sell some, if Katrina shows hers off at high school!

Thanks, we have been through lots of trials where it seems problems come “to us” from outside ourselves.

Anyway, at this point she still talks with me after a whole week of marriage and her old death threats on my 4.5 pound yorky have ceased already.

I am still forbidden to where pleated pants.
I am reminded to moisturize my skin at times.
I have to at times wear narrower shoes than my wider tennis shoes when we are out and she prefers me to wear an ankle cut socks.

I am also in negotiations to see if I will have her permission to breath on my own at least every other Tuesday. :-)

LOL!

It’s good that you are able to see eye-to-eye!

We miss you here, but I’m happy knowing you have found someone who is a lot more fun. Be sure to schedule a date with her once a week for the rest of your lives!

I can just see Anoreth as Tonks!

Let me know how the wand-making goes. If she’s good at it, she could make a little extra Christmas money.

It was serious stuff and she paid a pretty penny for her hair and makeup. Plus she had it done in some places on Beverly Blvd. in Beverly Hills where they are supposed to know what they are doing.
Nope, she won’t ever laugh at that, it was real stressful to her.

We all of a sudden decided we were going to nearly elope and we managed to get all things together for a small regular wedding together in just 10 days because we both decided we wanted immediate family around.
She had to get back to school in another week and we did not want to extend this to next summer again.

I had to drive a gazillion miles to find a proper chapel and restaurant for the semi-reception after the wedding.

I got the impression that shopping and buying her stuff seems to please her.
Is that common with all women? :-)

where pleated pants = wear pleated pants

Must be the marriage causing the lapse in word usage?

Women like to feel feminine, and nothing does it better than to get her hair done, and then get s new outfit. Or new shoes and a purse to match. Yep. It’s common.

Woman like to shop? Are you sure?

LOL

We have bought in the last few months 12 pairs of shoes, about 5 new dresses, 8 or more tops, and many other items of clothing, jewelry and so on.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.

She’s made two or three already, in different styles. The 1/2” dowels are only $.30 a yard at the hardware store, and we already had the tools, so the only significant cost is wood stain at $3 a pint or so.

She made a shelf to put her fish on, too. She has three bettas in vases now!

We were both tired from it to be honest because we set everything up and did it all ourselves.

Let me tell you, trying to find a decent chapel in California is NOT as easy as you would assume.
Many are holes in offices with immigration offices in front.

I thought there would be many of the kind like the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas.
There is a huge gap in the California market for such chapels IMO.

Let me re-phrase that: MOST women like to shop. I don’t. I find it torture. So I shop from catalogs or on the internet, and only if I really want something.

I would not have expected it to be so difficult. It does seem like there’s an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone!

Yep, she is not one to avoid Victoria’s Secret or Fredericks and Pennys on line.

She is actually reasonable and we get things on sale or a few really nice items.

Money doesn’t grow on trees and if you don’t shop on sale retailers will rip you off.

Often we find shoes that are $89 for $40.

We got her wedding dress which was a designer dress on sale for $71 down from over $450.

She goes nuts in Victoria’s Secret when there are sales.

Being she spends lots of time working in Beverly Hills, we have to at times hang out in that God forsaken place and surprisingly there are more cheap places to eat and things to do there cheaper than in my local suburb.

You can go to a fancy movie matinee in Beverly Hills for $5.50, that costs $9 by me.

You have tons of good places to eat at about 6-15 dollars a meal. Same stuff by me would be 9-25.

I’m amazed how inexpensive Beverly Hills is. Go figure.

I’m off, have a good day.
