I’ve been in quite a few of those AZ gully washers. At one time, we had to detour 70 miles because three bridges were out, one over the Gila River.
And another time, they had to close bridges behind us, as the water levels were right AT the top of the bridges.
Some storms, I just pull over and wait for it to stop raining. I’m glad I’m not there any more.

I feel like I can’t fight my way our of a wet paper bag, but I’m here. I’m still fighting the nausea, the fever and the chills, but they aren’t as bad as they have been. Probably because I just stopped everything the last week.
I have to make sure I’m well rested before my trip in two weeks. :o])

"Settle out of court for a case of beer, and 10 pounds of coffee!" Would it surprise you to learn that the beer would be gone before the coffee?

Got an item of postal spam today, airmail from Madrid (Madrid? Who do I know in Madrid? Nobody...) — similar to Nigerian scam, saying I won a whole lot of Euros in a European lottery. Sorta-nice-looking letter, but I don’t enter lotteries. And I wouldn’t use my work address either.

I salve my ego’s bruises with other brewses.
A brew in the morning and a brew at night.
Now if I got them confused I wouldn’t sleep as well ... or work as well.

Ah-ha!
Now it makes sense.
All honor to the guy who invented the Bag Valve Mask but I was wondering how he ended up a Saint.

"All honor to the guy who invented the Bag Valve Mask but I was wondering how he ended up a Saint." A simple typo.
It was supposed to be a sanitary award.
