"I hope your drink wasn’t purple, Bob."

I'm running very, very short of purple.

*Sigh*

It is very frustrating for people who can’t speak clearly. We have a gentleman in the parish who had a stroke a couple of years ago, and his speech has remained impaired. (He also can’t walk.) He obviously understands what’s said, but generally responds with Yes or No.

Father Hawker doesn’t have speech difficulties yet, but he’s quite hard of hearing, and does repeat himself. When he retires, he plans to go home to Boston and live with his brother.

You can get raspberry Kool-aid.

My wife has gotten a supply of powdered sugarless iced tea packets that you can add to a “water-bottle”.

I’ve been filching them and putting them in a quart-sized container. It adds interest, especially if the water gets hot.

Bottled water is such a craze these days. At least these flavor packets give one a chance to “recycle” in a useful way.

What are you recycling, exactly ... ?

We get bottles of water when we’re going to be out with the kids, parks and so on. It beats making a hundred trips to a water fountain, even if one’s available.

Why the bottle, of course!

You can refill it from a multitude of sources, add the flavor, and return it to your refrigerator.

On your next trip out, you have another cool refreshment.

I like the fact that I can squeeze a couple of gallons out of one of those little bottles.

Oh, good point. I’m a dreg on the environment - I just throw the bottles away!

Wonder why it’s giving you grief. It seems to work fine for me.

It's probably my computer. Ever since I had to go with NetZero and PeoplePC, my computer acts really ugly when I try to do things with it.

I have a 12-pack of water in my truck at all times, and about 10 single packets of lemonade mix, so I’m good to go, even if I forget to eat. I can at least get a sugar rush!

I used to carry gallon jugs of water, but now I don’t buy anything in gallons, including milk. I buy half gallons of milk in the cartons, and freeze one while I use the other one. (It’s an old habit from when I was a military wife.)

And on behalf of bottled water packagers everywhere I would like to thank you.

Waters and those drinks that taste like bug juice are what we make profit on.

Support your local dairy, drink more water!

LOL!

I promise to keep drinking bottled water, and eating ice cream, and butter, and whole milk, and yogurt. Just so you have job security! :o])
