I was out, this morning, at 4:15am laying on my back lawn with my boys watching the Perseids. In our light-polluted suburban area, we still managed a count of 30 in under an hour. A few left trails that lingered a few seconds behind them in the atmosphere.
In addition, we noted the transit of a half-dozen satellites in their various orbits.

Thanks - I’m perking up after a couple of Diet Cokes and some pretzels. And I think I’ll take a nap later.

My younger sister used to drink diet coke for her caffeine. I don’t know if she still does, but it struck me as odd. Now, of course, I see lots of people doing it.
I don’t like sweet things except for chocolate. ;o]

Taurus is the First Chapter in the Third Book of the heavens, which tells of The Redeemer, and the glory that should follow, that is, The Second Advent.
Taurus is represented in all the ancient zodiacs as in our present one, as a charging bull, rushing against his foes or pushing them aside. The common name Taurus is a Latin derivation from the Chaldee Tor, but the Hebrew Shur is from a root meaning coming or ruling. Thus The Bull is a sign of one who is coming, who will rule.
The dominant star in Taurus is known after its Chaldean name Al Debaran, meaning the leader or governor. Adjacent stand The Pleiades, The Congregation of The Ruler. On the face of Taurus are the Hyades The Congregated. Together with the Pleiades, they speak of the subjects of this coming ruler, and of his court.
Together with Taurus stand three asociated constellations:
Orion, The Coming Prince
Auriga, The Shepherd
Eridanus, The River of The Judge
Each speaks to the nature of he who is coming to rule. He comes as the rightful heir, as the shepherd of his people, and stands ready to pour out a river of judgment upon his enemies.
This month, August 2007, Mars transits Taurus, passing between The Pleiades and Al Debaran before passing on between the horns of Taurus into Gemeni.
This is not a sign of what is peculiar to this present time (as an astrologer would assert), but a repeating testimony to the Truth which has been, and which shall be, which is the wisdom of the ancients as pertains to the signs of the Heavens. So, Mars in Taurus is interpreted thus: he that makes war has entered the court of The Ruler to make his case in the presence of the congregation, but the Ruler will judge in favor of his subjects, and dismiss the warring one in rebuke. He that comes before The King to plead the case of Cetus, that Great Rebel, and the bound enemy of Pisces (the fishes), shall not prevail in the court of The Judge.
For we who are of the Congregation of the Ruler, this is very good news, indeed.

I was out, this morning, at 4:15am laying on my back lawn with my boys watching the Perseids. I was simply out, the skies being cloudy. (In Seattle -- imagine that!)
Ugh. Had to sit down to start working out my fall travel season, which of: San Francisco/Oakland/?Sacramento?, Atlanta, Phoenix, Dortmund, Milwaukee, Stuttgart, Cairo and Vienna I'll be visiting. Sent a note off to my (future) boss -- guess I'll know tomorrow.

In my industry, everyone who travels goes to the Far East and puts in 12-16 hour days making customers happier.
I’m really glad to be among those who do not need to travel.

"Taurus is the First Chapter in the Third Book of the heavens ..." Man, you should have saved that!
It would have made a great Zot thread to hijack.
