Gary Player is the LAST golfer who should be casting aspersions. The guy was notorious for bending the rules. And worse.

I know for a fact that some golfers are doing it,” he said.
The words out and it’s obvious that he’s talking about Cory Pavin and Justin Leonard.

Player was a very well-muscled short guy, though, and he could hit an amazingly long ball. (Yes, I did follow him years ago in person, and he also was a very nice guy.)
Steroids would be really stupid for a golfer because their mood-altering properties would make it much more likely for a golfer under pressure to blow their cool and miss short putts. Blowing your stack when you are a defensive lineman is nowhere near as harmful.

"Whether it's HGH, whether it's Creatine or whether it's steroids, I know for a fact that some golfers are doing it," he said. Man! We'd better hope that some athletically gifted Big Person like Michael Jordan doesn't take up the sport...
Either of you guys want to chip in on a roll of duct tape we can send to Player, with instructions for self-administration? :-)
The woods are filled with big hitters, Gary. As if you didn't know. ;-)

your short game is what wins. You're just saying that because it's true...
I'm always amazed by how soft John Daly's hands are when he gets around the green. That's why he can win majors - and for no other reason.

You forgot about Mike Weir. Gary, I’m thinking you’re off on this.

Blowing your stack when you are a defensive lineman is nowhere near as harmful. Oh really, then why is College golf and the Nationwide tour so concerned about them? If they would hurt your game, why would these guys want to use them?
How come Barry Bonds is the most disciplined hitter in baseball and we all know he is on them.
roids is in golf and Woods is probably the one he is talking about.

your short game is what winsAnd, believe it or not, that's what taking roids helps the most. These guys don't need more distance, they need to keep the clubface square through deep rough.....roids helps them do that.
Player is right and you guys sound like a bunch of Europeans who think that Europe does not have a muslim problem.

Steroid use by a professional golfer would be completely detrimental to success and winning.
It's hard enough to understand the "5 and one-half inch course" with an unaltered mind, let alone trying it with roid-rage. Professional rasslers, sure. Professional golfers, not hardly.

Golf is a game you truly compete against yourself. You also always want to play with someone better than because your game will be better. I would play with Tiger Woods who in my opinion is the best golfer(he can do it all), in a heartbeat. Just think how great my game would be. LOL
