I’m guessing from the names that they were beneficiaries of the hip hop culture.

>A 13-year-old boy fatally stabbed his brother with a steak knife after the 16-year-old refused to turn over a video game controller

Well, I have read that
Resident Evil for Wii
is very well done...

Completely pathetic, a senseless death.

First thing, don’t give your kids strange names, they may act strange.

I'm sure there is a trial lawyer out there who will argue that these types of games lead to aggressive, addictive behavior and therefore Nintendo must compensate this poor mother and her poor, addicted son. Feel their pain!

Jahmir Ricks was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Antwan Ricks at their home outside Philadelphia.

Those sure sound like Amish names to me. /sarc

Jahmir in the gameroom with the steak knife????

It is obviously time to outlaw steak knives in Philly.

Video games are the “new drug” -

I enjoy them, but I see the dangers.

This reaction by Jahmir was the same as an addict being denied his fix.

It also is a result of parental refusal to “train up a child” by instilling some impulse control through the palm of a hand on the rear of said child.

Police Chief Daniel Kortan said the rules of the house were that the person who lost had to give someone else a chance to play.

I wonder what the "rules of the house" are on not letting someone else get a chance to play? Apparently, SHARING was not taught in the home.

Antwan losing (the knife fight) was Jahmir's chance to play.

Some brothers kill their brothers without the benefit of a video game to blame. Cain was the first.

Without rules, there would be , ahem...., chaos.

So, the rules of the house is that when you lose a game you have to turn it over to someone else or die!!

It's annoying, at least to me, when people name a kid Antoine and then spell it Antwan. Makes them look totally ignorant.
