What kind of laws do they have up there??????? Canadian ones.
Though we have alot to brag about. We let child molestors go on probation because they're just too short for prison.

I realize that she was a minor at the time, but only six years?......This could spark a wave of parent murders by angry pre-teens all across the country, knowing they will only get 6 years...........

A thirteen year old who plotted and completed the murder of her family deserves life in prison. She is NOT innocent.

If she wanted to be treated like an adult who can have sex with her adult boyfriend, the courts should sentence her like an adult.

I still believe that the punishment should fit the crime if the person understands the consequences of their actions. BTW, I also believe that if you got to the point of understanding that putting your hand on the red colored coil on the stove will hurt, you understand the consequences of your actions...

I disagree, she should be dropped through a trap door with a rope around her neck.

Hang with the devil? They both should get the death sentence.

“Regardless of whether or not she is convicted, Jasmine’s age will prevent her from serving a lengthy sentence. According to Canadian law, Jasmine, now 13, can only be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison, and no more than six can be served while in custody. Jeremy, on the other hand, whose preliminary hearing is set for March, could be sentenced to life without parole for 25 years.”
This paragraph makes no sense. She can serve a max of ten years - but only 6 while in custody??? What does that mean?? Aren’t you in custody while in prison?
Stinky can be sentenced to life without parole - for 25 years?? Which is it, life or 25?

Six years for 3 pre-meditated murders?.......What kind of laws do they have up there???????......... A law saying that people under 13 cannot be charged as an adult.
The evidence says that she slit her own 8 year old brother's throat.
She will be out of jail before she is old enough to buy a beer (and drinking age in Alberta is 19).
When she is released, the Canadian government will provide her with a new identity if she requests it and a wiped-clean record.
As you may recall, in the UK a few years back a couple of 10 year olds abducted, systematically tortured and then murdered a toddler.
They were out of a prison a few years later and given new identities by the UK government.

I disagree, she should be dropped through a trap door with a rope around her neck.
A short drop and a sudden stop solves problems in many cases.
