I was surprised too, prairiebreeze. There wasn’t even one word about the strong-armed and underhanded way that Harry Reid tried to ram the bill through sans any debate and loaded w/secret add-ons.
Nope, nobody breathed a word of any of that, not even Brit. The media doesn't care if there are bullies and procedural malfeasance in congress as long as it's not republicans doing it, apparently.
Our former DEMOCRAT Governor has been taken into custody. He will be spending the next several years behind bars.
He is a crook.
I just read that Scooter Libby received his inmate number yesterday. My stomach is just churning. This is what we can expect from the dems and their judiciary and the MSM gone wild and in control. Frightening.

And now the Fairness Doctrine
Glenn is getting sick of politics much like we are.
Turned on the television this morning as I was getting dressed, and they showed some of the democratic candidate debate last night at some black university.
Her heinous said something to the effect, "If AIDS were a white woman's disease, there would be such an outcry in this country to do something about it."
I don't even know where to start with such an insipid and ridiculous statement like that.
How some people assume this woman has any intelligence is beyond me!
Good morning!
I got up to some interesting news.
Your news on Hitlary. She is so off-the-wall.
A London bomb was found prior to detonation and they’re looking for the terrorist.
Mike Pence attached an ammendment which has killed the (un)Fairness Bill.
And I thought the world slept when I sleep.
Aren't most of them? Either crooks or psychos.....
Good morning everybody it's STILL raining here and flooding is predicted around the area. We are on nice high ground so if flooding reaches us, we'd all better start measuring and building in cubits.
Woe is me, just checked my garden, I have a bad infection of Gritsouches, they are eating my grit crop up. Now, to watch for Pastaites, gonna spray as soon at it dries up from the dew. You know how it is, never a dull moment for us ‘farmers’.
It is gonna happen here, sooner than later, the radicals are going to start bombing here as they tried in England. Look at all the signs worldwide, we do not have magical fence around the USA.
I maintain that had this "Fairnes Doctrine" bill gone forward, the groundswell against it would have made the response against the amnesty bill look half-hearted.
Good Morning! ; )
I really hope so. I suspect that the RATS may try it again. I think so because they are losing power. They have had a grip on the MSM and they are waking up to the fact that a revolution has occurred, and is occurring. The status quo has changed.
Fortunately for us, they weren’t paying attention while the internet was growing. I have had the suspicion that most of the establishment, entertainment media and political, has thought the internet was only good for shopping and for learning canned news. They’ve thought that those of us who have been doing an end-run around their websites are marginalized and just kooks. They have not realized that those who have felt disenfranchised would possibly organize into the voice that we are.
Talk radio is good, but it was also the internet with sites such as this one, which has also helped us to become organized and where we spur on each other to give voice to our objections.
I was unsuccessful in reaching Senator Sessions’s office yesterday to ask for clarification on his Iraq position. I’ll keep trying until I do reach him. If he supports Lugar and calls for a quick pullout, I will post it as a main thread.
This has been a good day for America.
For a while, it didnt look like Washington was going to listen to us regarding real immigration reform. Thankfully, weve been spared a serious mistake, but I wonder if things would have turned out the way they did without the work done by the bloggers, talk radio and the American people. Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham, RedState, Powerline, Pajamas Media and a lot of others have done a great job. Take that, Fairness Doctrine.
Fred Thompson is right. I remember in 1960 my mother taking me to the train station to see Kennedy. That was an old method of getting word to the masses. A person would have to make contact with people. Yes, there were newspapers but it was more localized, rather than the large conglomerates.
Then came the TV networks. There were only three. It was soon realized, perhaps in the mid-60s, that they could be dominated and get the group to basically report the same news and with the same slant. That was a whole lot easier than going on a whistle-stop tour. Cheaper, too.
Now, this new animal has come about. Couple it with the rise of Talk Radio, which could have liberal voices on it if only we would listen and make the libs profitable, and it is harder to dominate and control the information which is reaching us.
The control of information is vitally important to those in power. Truth is very dangerous and empowering.
Exactly, and with that I’m going to be wearing my
The News and the Truth
Are NOT the Same Thing
t-shirt today.
:^)
It is Friday. I am going to wear RED today.
