"Congresswoman Herseth, elected by a 69% victory, was largely due to women rallying in South Dakota, determined to protect our rights. Yet the Congresswoman voted to give Bush $100 billion to continue death and destruction in Iraq. Women and men voters in South Dakota are bitterly disappointed. "

"Two brave codepinkers determined to end war. Congressman Kind was at the Boys & Girls Club, refusing to speak with these girls about his vote to continue war. They ask him how can he care about boys and girls when he is sending them to kill and be killed? And what about Iraq boys and girls, they ask? "

"Two twelve year old amazons wimmin-in-training being interviewed by the local paper about their arrest, citation and release for tresspassing in Congressman Kind's office."

"Several of the activists that were attempting to meet with Congressman Kind after his vote to buy the occupation and war against Iraq through September."

"The skies cleared for us in Bismarck as two dozen peace activists stood on a busy corner in front of the Federal Building. " (That's funny, I count ten.)

"Several passers-by saw the protest, parked their cars, and jumped into the midst of those who represent peace!"

"Protestors came with instruments, songs, and a determined wild spirit!"

Love the captions.
Is there a website where you can upload a pic and add captions?

Honestly there is nothing wrong with their desire for peace...I pray for it as well...
What bothers me most about their desire is the ignorance and naivety they swallow in its pursuit....
Bringing the troops home will not facilitate peace....yes it may give us (the USA) a false peace for a period, but in the end the carnage and warfare will only be that much greater when the check comes due....
As stated before, I want peace....only a real peace built on reality not wishful dreams...

Where is their protest AGAINST the terrorist "insurgents"?
Peace requires both sides laying down their arms.
Would they also ask that all police lay down their arms too?
Note, there is a US protester photo of an American holding a sign "I support the Iraqi insurgents".
I can't find it now. It is not a peace movement. It is an antiAmeircan war (and decidedly pro-Palestinian war) movement.

That's not what I was commenting on....
I'm directing my comments to those on the left who truly want peace...and believe that us leaving the Middle East will bring about such a reality....
I work in NYC and talk with many libs on a daily basis....Many are quite sincere in their beliefs and don't see us as the bad guy...
They have bought into the notion that if only we leave Iraq all those left behind will lay down their arms peacefully coexist....They cannot fathom that there are people in this world who actually want us dead because we are not willing to submit to their brand of religion....In short, they are well meaning but extremely ignorant and naive...
What you are describing is something completely different....

Wouldn’t you just love to have the “Bong Water” concession at their rallies? You’d be rich in a heartbeat.

You've gotta wonder when a reporter chooses to interview two 12 year olds for a story, out of a group of adults. Easier to manipulate for the end result?

"Mom said we could get a new XBox 360 if we wore these shirts, but they clash with my outfit and then my BFF Jill said that I shouldn't be wearing white after Labor Day but then this, like, really cute guy in homeroom noticed me and sent me a note that says "do you like me? Check either the yes or no box" and I'm like "oh, my God Jill, he's so dreamy, I love him but I can't go out with him because Mom says that 'I don't want you going out with some neocon fascist kids' or something...it's just so not fair..."

That’s just sick...
Women using their own kids for political purposes. Brainwashing them, nonetheless.

And, of course, there's the proud egg donor in the background. I can just hear her saying how well they're learning their lessons.

Nothing like getting kids to have a criminal record (and FBI file) at an early age.

That's a woman??? Could go either way, if you ask me... I was guessing, given that most of the "Code Pink-o" crap here in the Bay Area are womyn-only gatherings. You know how the coven is when it comes to those dirty sperm donors and war mongers.
