[Soaring Feather]

My Dragonfly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

We received 2 and a half inches of rain yesterday..south of us they got 14 inches !..It rained off and on all night.
More to come. I’d better get out and fill the birdfeeder during the lull.

Camping along the North Coast last weekend...

...The Sandpipers were
having a pretty good day
along the shoreline, as the wind seemed to be blowing their lunch right to them.



The Sea Gulls however,
all but grounded by the
strong winds, did not seem to
be nearly as happy.




Back home this morning...
...The Blue Heron visited us again, and breakfasted
on field mice.
(Memo to self:  Must get some MORE of these guys to come hang out with us around here.)

SB, those are wonderful pictures. I wish I lived on the coast. We don’t have any large bodies of water where I live in NM. In fact, where I live there aren’t any bodies of water. LOL Thanks for sharing them. :o)
