The Rascals. Not my fav group, but it sure is a beautiful morning!

It's a beautiful mornin', Ahhh,
I think I'll go outside a while,
An jus' smile.
Just take in some clean fresh air, boy!
Ain't no sense in stayin' inside
If the weather's fine an' you got the time.
It's your chance to wake up and plan another brand new day.
Either way,
It's a beautiful mornin', Ahhh,
Each bird keeps singin' his own song.
So long!
I've got to be on my way, now.
Ain't no fun just hangin' around,
I've got to cover ground, you couldn't keep me down.
It just ain't no good if the sun shines
When you're still inside,
Shouldn't hide, still inside, shouldn't hide,
Ahhhh..Oh! (shouldn't hide) Ah, ah, Oh.....
--------------
(Do, do, Waaa) (Do, do, Waaa)
------------
There will be children with robins and flowers;
Sunshine caresses each new waking hour.
Seems to me that the people keep seeing
More and more each day, gotta say, lead the way,
It's okay, wednesday, thursday, it's okay,
(Ahhh) monday, wednesday, friday, weekday, Ah, Ah, Ohhh.
---------
(Do, do, Waaa)

Ah, Ah, Oh, Oh, (Do, Do - Aaaa)
Wooooo oo oo oh, oh, oh, Ah wo, do, waa
Ohhhhhhh.....Oh, Oh, Oh, .....

So true, please do me a favor, keep JT’s great grandmother in prayer as she is going thru a very serious operation and it really does not look like she will make it, I dread to think what it is going to do the JT as he is so close to her. Her grandson is in jail, her daughter is, only God knows where as she is a crack head and stays out in never, never land all the time. This really has Tracy all shaken up, she has such a big heart.

Flag Day!

usa_gm.gif (24152 bytes)That Ragged Old Flagusa_gm.gif (24152 bytes)

Johnny Cash

I walked through a county courthouse square

On a park bench, an old man was sittin there.

I said, "Your court house is kinda run down,

He said, "No, it will do for our little town".

I said "your old flag pole kinda leaned a little bit,

And that’s a ragged old flag you got hanging on it".

He said "have a seat", so I sat down,

He said, "is this your first visit to our little town"

I said, "I think it is"

He said "I don’t like to brag, but we’re kinda proud of

usaC.gif (10636 bytes)"That Ragged Old Flag"usaC.gif (10636 bytes)

"You see, we got a little hole in that flag there,

When Washington took it across the Delaware.

It got powder burned the night Francis Scott Key sat watching it, writing

"Oh Say Can You See"

It got a rip in New Orleans, with Packingham & Jackson

tugging at its seams.

It almost fell at the Alamo beside the Texas flag,

But she waved on tho.

It got cut with a sword in Chancellorsville,

Got cut again at Shiloh Hill.

There was Robert E. Lee and Beauregard and Bragg,

And the south wind blew hard on

"That Ragged Old Flag"

usa_gm.gif (24152 bytes)

On Flanders Field in World War I,

She took a bad hit from a Bertha Gun,

She turned blood red in World War II

She hung limp and low by the time that one was through,

She was in Korea, Vietnam, She went where she was sent

by her Uncle Sam.

usa_gm.gif (24152 bytes)

The Native Americans, The Black, Yellow and White

All shed red blood for the Stars and Stripes.

And here in her own good land,

She’s been abused, burned, dishonored, denied and refused,

And the very government for which she stands

Has been scandalized throughout out the land.

And she’s getting thread bare, and she’s wearing kinda thin,

But she’s in pretty good shape, for the shape she’s in.

Cause she’s been through the fire before

and she can take a whole lot more.

usa_gm.gif (24152 bytes)

So we raise her up every morning

And we bring her down slow every night,

We don’t let her touch the ground,

And we fold her up right.

On second thought
I do like to brag

Cause I’m mighty proud of

YES!! Take care of yourself first so others don't have to..then take care of others...my motto! Some may think that is selfish..NOT AT ALL. That's what my grandparent did and they were FAR from selfish.

My personal view is folks who don't take responsibility for their own selves are the epitome of selfish. People who look after themselves do not force others to get involved in their affairs, while those who do not require all kinds of folks to get involved.

Such then leads society as a whole not able to concentrate on good works of community, but rather upon those efforts meant to benefit one or more souls that are willing to leach off of others.

Morning, Molly, and thanks for the links, although they sadden my heart today with the plight of Israel and those security officers being executed. I’m wondering how the American political left will spin this to be President Bush’s fault (/bitter sarcastic prophecy).

Good morning all..........still needing rain here. Hopefully we will get some next week, or at least that is what the weather people are saying now.

Prayers for all that need them.....take care all.

Yes. We need rain as well. It is supposed to start, like you, later today, and continue through next week. The downside is that we’ll have lower temps as well.

lysie, you took the words right out of my mouth! I’ve never been a fence straddler, but I am so disappointed in our beloved President’s take on amnesty/illegals, etc. And it is amnesty to me! Close the borders!

I have in my possession some 48 star flags, the flag of old. I am flying one of the smaller ones right now.

What a beautiful day! Afternoon all...The weather is perfect: not as humid as yesterday...

always, Prager had a caller about an hour ago, who called Prager evil, lying, and so forth...what we were talking about yesterday.. the issue was global warming, and the caller identified himself as a teacher. YIKES!

Dolly, here's hoping the Cavs have a better night.

Last weekend I got my husband to dig up an old bush...I've hated it for years....next to the front sidewalk, it was messy AND prickly...cleaning up the area yesterday, it dawned on me...okay, I'm slow sometimes...Hey, I've got another area to plant some flowers! He,he! Hadn't thought about that side-effect of getting rid of the blasted bush.....something easy, with maybe a perennial or 2 to anchor the area. Not sure...

I don’t think the general population has any idea of just where we are standing in the world with the wars, rumors of wars. so many red flags can be shown and I honestly He has shown the last of the red flags.

Iran, with Hamas winning the civil war, now has its military might, if they indeed have any. to the borders of Israel. Time for the USA to get serious and take off the gloves of our troops and let the fur fly, the existence of this world is in stake.
