Maybe she’s being treated harshly because she showed up for her last court date late and pissed off the judge. When you do things like that and show no respect for the court system or the judge himself, then you’d better be prepared to handle the consequences.

What is she? I heard she has really nothing to do with the HIlton Hotel? Is she a spokesman for anything? How come she is so famous? Just on her looks? I don’t get it.

Paris is not innocent, she is being punished by this situation because she attempted to manipulate the system. After seeing all the trouble that has ensued from attempting to bring Paris to justice, no wonder why the rich get special treatment, whoever takes them on is putting their careers on the line because the rich and famous have the resources to keep on fighting even when they should give up. No wonder everyone lets people like Paris get away with so much.

I think people here seem to think she’s a slut tramp and actually get a little bit of enjoyment out of seeing her go to jail because of that.

The “child” has not been taught any coping skills.

That’s too bad for her; however, she’s a big girl now and has to face the consequences of her own actions.

She is creating this turmoil with her own freaky behavior.

(The law doesn’t have special provisions for “hot house” citizens.)

What did the rest of his record look like? Is there another reason out there that this wasn’t resolved in a less intrusive manner?

I’ve spoken to a few friends on mine in the criminal justice system about this: all agree, they are sticking it to Paris.

And they are right.

I think to many, Paris is a proxy for everything that is wrong with modern-day American culture.

You’ll excuse my pointing out that law clerks for judges are fresh out of school with no court room or other worldly experience.

She couldn’t handle it. I feel sorry for her. Just put her under house arrest.

Many, MANY people have a tough time dealing with jail. Yet we don't let them off. Society has laws. EVERYONE in society is subject to these laws.

Even if they cry.

All that screaming, the judge should have added another 45 days for contempt of court.. and if her mamma said anything, she should have gotten some too..

Seems to me her personal assistant should have taken away her keys and gotten her a full time driver until the driving issue was sorted out. I don’t take any real pleasure in seeing someone’s personal meltdown, even if they are excessively privileged and out of touch with reality.

Paris Whitney Hilton (born February 17, 1981) is an American celebrity, socialite, actress, recording artist and convict. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton.

Hilton rose to fame when a home-made sex video of her was leaked onto the Internet in late 2003. The release of the tape, later titled 1 Night in Paris (2004), attracted worldwide publicity and contributed to the success of Hilton’s Fox reality series The Simple Life. As an actress, she has appeared in several minor roles, most notably in the horror film House of Wax (2005), and in 2006, she released the self-titled album Paris.

oh really? Cause I listened to the judge very clearly. She got 7 months which 60 of those days could be spent in a mental facility and she got time already served which she already spent 5 months, so she has 60 days left to serve. S, she won’t be going to jail she will be going to a mental facility for the next 2 months. I payed close attn and listened to the judge and Fox didn’t give it out straight because they are too busy following the Paris Hilton craziness!

“Paris can’t get a fair shake, that’s the truth. Law & Order hardons confuse being principled with being jackasses”

So, shall I weigh your friends against mine who deal with the common offender every day? How about admitting things are not quite so cut and dry as you claim? And maybe, just maybe, not all experiences are the same?

And no, you’re not “calling it like it is”. You’re calling it like you want it to be.

Paris is getting treated more than fairly.

You'll get seriously flamed for that comment on here, but I agree. I can think of no other person that has been let out of jail and then returned FOR ANY REASON. I have daughters though, so....
