You’ll excuse my pointing out that law clerks for judges are fresh out of school with no court room or other worldly experience.
You’ll excuse my pointing out that both are career clerks, which does happen now and then. Both graduated law school in 1993 and didn’t want to deal with big firm life, preferring the pace and flexibility of that line of work.
Of course, that didn’t occur to your fertile and prescient mind.
