Mary Winkler's husband made her dress up in high heels and act sexy, so she shot him in the back with a shotgun while he was sleeping, killing him. Similar to another pastors wife in St. Petersburg Florida who stabbed her husband in the femoral artery while he was sleeping. Claimed that he had “abused” her. Court bought it and she got a short term and then was released.

Happened about six or seven years ago, IIRC.

There was a time in this country when a husband could beat a wife unconscious and would only get a reprimand by the doctor at the hospital. I hope those days never return. Now, a wife can kill her husband in cold blood, and she gets the therapist’s couch and a bottle of pills. I think we have reversed the order and added cream on the top.

I think that is DISGUSTING. He didn’t even get to tell his side of the story, to stand up for himself, and the judge bought it? His parents are right — she killed him again by slandering him. And I hope the parents get custody. I mean, how sick, the children stay with the parent who killed the other parent??
