After a long time here in Iraq, I took a two week leave. It was a wonderful time to get back together with my family, and to ask my girlfriend to marry me. Fortunately she said yes, and so now she is my fiance. I would have posted the news sooner, but I had to spend two weeks out on a mission.

It’s beautiful in central Texas today. My squash are going crazy, my beans aren’t doing anything. My tomatoes are green and glistening. Life is good.
