So glad to see your post Jay. Mozie and I were tracking the storm. It moved thru about 30 miles West of me.

Prayers lifted for those who are facing clean up. Been there, done that. It’s mentally and emotionally grueling.

We are all so happy, you don’t have to face that kind of clean up. Have a great week-end...

I don’t want responsibility for health decisions on the in-laws Molly. Been there, done that with my dad....already have way too many second guesses as to whether I handled that correctly or not. I don’t mind giving professional input but won’t be the one that has POA for Health Care in this instance.

Well, the meeting at the attorneys yielded that in-laws didn’t think they needed a trust, couldn’t afford it etc. They were somewhat agreeing to having a will drawn up for MIL which is bare minimum and something she doesn’t have. So Mr. Prairie and I were ready to accept that their estate would have to go through probate, hopefully wouldn’t turn messy between family members etc.

Lo, and belond, at 9 PM last night they did a 180 and now want to have a joint trust put in place. Mr. Prairie talked with them late into the evening about all of it and we are just amazed at how they changed their minds. But it’s a good thing. Hope it goes forward, would be money well spent for their peace of mind.

Thanks for the safe travel good wishes, we’ll be taking off tomorrow. (short drive destination though)

Have a great weekend everybody, will try to check in again later.

One more comment about my trip to the bookstore this week. It is utterly amazing to me how many new books there are on the Kennedy family. Not much about Teddy Kennedy, but lots and lots on RFK, JFK, and Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Yuk.

I rarely post to everyone, but you all must see the video ‘OxyClinton.’ I can’t post a link, but go to Google and search for OxyClinton. You will love it. :)

Isn’t that Laura Ingram as the Doc?

I agree, it’s really funny

I am going to town today myself for lunch (I hope, hungry) and go to WALLMART for a resupply of grits and other things. Gotta get some soft drinks for our church men’s retreat tonight and a few more goodies.

D has a stressing task today, TJ’s great grandmother is dying and she wants D to help her with some notes to take to a attorney for a will, she is taking care of TJ. She is dying fast. A shame, a very sweet lady.

The way sounds on TV with Paris going back to court is more like she will be shot on the steps of the courthouse when she gets there....I am rather sick of the whole thing.

Lots of chain saws running at the moment, but our trees did just fine!

Good to hear you are alright, Jay. The reports coming out of WI were not good. We got lots of wind here in central MN but no rain in out part of the city.

It’s much cooler here today and the humidity is very low. A very nice day.

Hi Neets - am following your progress with that pork shoulder. When you smoke that, will it be like ham? A friend of ours has a smoker and makes absolutely the best ribs in it.

Glad to hear your birthday was perfect, til. Getting to a “certain age” has its benefits, doesn’t it? I find that I feel no guilt in doing just what I want to.

You made it thru the night without any storm then, IG? That is good news. Has your humidity and temp dropped also? It’s a nice day here.
