Should California ban or place speed limits on lane-splitting by motorcyclists?
Ban all lane-splitting (0 Votes, 0%)
Allow lane-splitting, but set speed limits (0 Votes, 0%)
Allow all lane splitting (1 Vote, 100%)
Note: Scroll down on the homepage a bit and look for the poll on the right side. Vote accordingly.
we need a little less government in our faces, not more.

I decided to abandon the practice when a gentleman opened his driver’s door in front of me and proceeded to empty his ashtray onto the pavement. He took his sweet time while doing so.
Too many nutcases out there behind the wheel of a 3500# weapon who take it as a personal insult for me to engage in the practice.
I’m all for letting a “lane-splitting” motorcyclist navigate forwards through traffic, although I am open to the possibility that I am ignorant of a grave reason to prevent it. But is the poll asking whether motorcyclists shouldn’t have to obey speed limits? That’d seem crazy, since they are MORE vulnerable, not less vulnerable than auto drivers to the dangers of high speed. Or is it saying that “lane-splitting” should be permitted only at low speeds? (As in, if a traffic jam slows traffic down to 15 MPH, the biker may slip through, but if traffic is only slowed down to 50 MPH, he can stay “in formation” with everyone else?)
