That’s a poor excuse for a signature. No character at all.
*chuckle*....ummmm....maybe good ol' obama drew it when he was in 6th grade...and those are drawings of various psychoanalysts....or "people I want to be when I grow up"....(that one guy HAS to be ted kennedy)
I think his O looks like the Zodiac’s signature.
I thought they were mushroom clouds. I thought it was a statement on where the leadership of the Democratics will take us. Greg Stillson territory.
I actually think it’s a pretty good signature, but it looks very composed. Look how cleverly he makes the b in Obama. He places the b’s vertical bar so that it cuts through the O. Then he has the O’s lower right quadrant do double duty by serving as the b’s round part. That kind of thing doesn’t just happen by accident. I would almost call his signature scripted.
The mark of the Zodiac Killer........
Notice that his fifth grade level of artistic expertise is typical of liberal political insight: disconnected and bearing only the slightest resemblance to reality.
That kind of thing doesnt just happen by accident.
No, it does not happen by accident, but I would be willing to bet that his simplistic signature was not of his design.
You think he had a signature consultant work something up for him?
BTW, I just noticed something else. Look at how he signed his initials in post #7. Notice how the last stroke of the B artfully extends into the O (and there’s that vertical line through the O again). He does the exact same thing with his doodle signature. It’s totally contrived.
Kennedy, Schumer, Feinstein and Reid?
Looks like its Brett Quaran, from the signature.
it looks like it belongs in the New Yorker
Yes, it does look like something James Thurber would have done. But, Thurber was a writer, not a graphic artist
I agree that the signature is not accidental. It take a lot of practice to come up with sig that is that precise. Another thing that is no accident is his book cover.
I have never seen a cover so explicitly thought out in terms of graphic design. A few points.
We know the Dems want to position him as the “Golden Child” of American politics. Look at the gold ink on top (his name) and bottom. However, even more important, but more subtle is the “AU” reversed out of his body (directly over the heart, in fact). AU is the elemental symbol for gold.
Pushing this analysis a bit more you have a little homage to ebonics since the word “Audacity” is broken up between “AU” and “DA-CITY”
Finally the word “Audacity” being broken up tends to force the eye to the right, so the text reads at a glance more as ‘The City of Hope” — a little subtle reference to Bill Clinton’s hometown which he used as a campaign metaphor?
