As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Quick start--got to run to the other building (ok, not run--too steamy outside...).
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Hi!
So McConnell and Sessions are voicing wobbly thoughts about Iraq over the weekend. Heaven help us!
Thanks for the start. I trust your weekend went well.
Vandals burn dozens of American Flags decorating Vets Graves
So you watched Sunday’s game with the Tigers? That was pretty cool. Our young players are maturing, and it’s fun to see, but last night...Curt Schilling, that OLD guy, really controlled the game. LOL. Boston is tough, tough!
Yes. I’ll watch any game that doesn’t include the Braves and since our team ..well..I won’t say...
Jason is just going to have to have some straighting out on his little life and we are going to provide that to him, in fact we already are. Love solves so many problems and those he has, it will take time and much more love (if that is possible). D is going to wait to get another ‘instant’ child as all our time will be helping him and giving him the love he needs. We just ask that you keep this little fella in your prayers and if your church has a prayer group, pass his name on to them, please.
Poor ole Cindy, her boat stopped in the middle of the stream, goodness me, what will she do now, no cameras in her faces, Mic's being pushed to her mouth, thank goodness she is stopping making a fool of herself.
Done got mad at my chicks. They roost you know and have taken roosting up on my front porch. If they don’t watch it, they are going to be ROASTING on that porch.
SIL has GOT to fix my tiller, the pull rope won’t retract and my garden I will be a Forrest until then. I am cutting between the rows with the mower and have a ‘Armstrong’ tiller I use around the plants. Hey, it works.
Off to the ‘big house’ to get some cereal or something, I am hungry, out of grits (a no=no and I am guilty). I will be back shortly..
Toby
Good Morning!
Tuesdays always feels like a Monday whenever there is a Monday holiday.
Belated thanks for all the pings over the weekend!
Thanks for the links, Molly! Although, I have to say that I don’t understand the WSJ’s vendetta lately against NRO’s stance against illegal immigration; it mystifies me.
I think the Tuesday after a Monday holiday is BOTH Monday AND Tuesday, since that much work has piled up. I dread the mail dump on days like these. . .
That does it. I am coming home next week and I will let him have a piece of my mind. He will hear from me.
I'm mad now.
Yesterday, my son Jack again played taps at the Purcellville American Legion Memorial Day Observance. This was the third year in a row and the turn out this year was disgraceful! There were only about 30 people there. Apparently, not many wanted to interrupt their barbecues, yard work and other holiday activities to give 15 minutes to remember those who served.
I guess it is while "All gave some and some gave all", what have they done for us lately, drives the average American.
My son's band teacher who was also obviously disappointed, took Jack aside and indicated an elderly veteran wearing a 101st Airborne baseball cap and told him that his musical efforts meant so much to that old man, that it made the whole experience worthwhile. I agree, and I know that my son's Grandfather and Great-Grandfathers were there in spirit and looked upon him with great pride and approval.
Folks, our deceased Veterans never gave up the faith in us...why have we given up the faith in them?
End of disgusted rant.
I am moving slow this morning...had a full day yesterday, went to two Memorial Day services, spent the afternoon at Metamora..an old canal town, that has been turned into lots of quaint, lovely shops. Toby, they even have a mill that grinds corn and they sell freshly ground corn meal and GRITS!! I thought of you when I saw that.
Lysie, I loved your idea for floating impatiences....let me know if it works out, I think it should.
Prayers for all who need them....especially Z, hope he is feeling much better today.
You are right though that so many folks get caught up in their “living” they don’t take the time to remember those who gave so much. It is a sad commentary on our times.
RD, your son did well, whether playing for 1 or 1000!
Jemian, this Sessions business was mentioned briefly by Bennett...Sunday talk show stuff, so let's wait and see if he keeps it up. But letting him know of our war support certainly won't hurt.
Molly, Metamora is pretty neat, it is in a busy place over Holiday week-ends.... closed on Monday and Tuesday. The state runs part of it, the historical canal and mill. The state provides rides on a canal boat pulled by two Belgian (sp) mares. Not too far from Metamora is the Hearthside restaurant..which has good food and a lovely setting too.
Anyone interested in this canal town, here is their web site:

I’m going to check with my sister to see if she’s ever been there. Thanks for the link, Bee.
