Viagra, along with its famous beneficial effect, could also help people get over jet lag.
The suggestion comes from scientists who have been testing the effects of the famous blue pill on the body clocks of hamsters.
Their research was presented to the US National Academy of Science.
A small dose of Viagra helped hamsters adapt to a six-hour time change twice as fast as others which had not been given the dose.
The time change was simulated by switching on lights in the hamsters' cages six hours earlier than usual.
Dr Diego Golumbek of Argentina's National University of Quilmes led the research.
He said the factor seemed to be a molecule in the drug called cGMP which influences the body's time clock.
I usually feel stiff after a long flight.
It will help you in the MH club.
The drug is useful in pulmonary hypertension. Viagra can help neonates breathe easier if they are having problems at birth due to pulmonary hypertension. All jokes aside, it is a very useful drug that increases circulation in many areas that need it.
They'll have to review the log before they draw any firm conclusions.
Make no bones about it - this is a miracle drug !
Which is more strange, the scientist who proposed the study or the funding bureaucrat who said "sure!"
I take nitrates for a bad ticker... so I can’t take Viagra (according to the commercials it lowers the blood-pressure... so if I understand this right... it’ll raise one area but lower another...hmmmmmm)
That’s some hard science there.
I wonder if it improves athletic performance.
Depends on your 'sport'.
Thought they were suppose to call a Doctor after four hours....
