Don't want this to turn into a thread that consists mostly of, "I haven't watched television since 1973 and thought the shows were bad then." Otherwise, have fun. :-)
What’s Your Favorite Television Show?
Several I try not to miss......
Grey’s
Ugly Betty
Desparate Housewives
Sopranos
The Shield
Rescue Me
SouthPark
Daily Show / Colbert Report
Reno 911
As far as old TV goes I would have to say the Andy Griffith Show hands down.
More recent TV would include The most dangerous catch and Mythbusters. Obviously a whole lot of History channel and Discovery programs.
South Park, 24, Idol, Life Time, Food Network, Dog Whispererrr, Rob and Big, Run’s House, Deadliest Catch, Y&R...
Shows I watch when they are on.
No Reservations, Travel Channel
Deal or no Deal
American Chopper
Dogfights
Shootout
Flip this House/Real Deal
MASH, the Henry Blake years
Seinfeild
I Love Lucy
Andy Griffith, in B&W
Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild
Mythbusters
Spearfishing
All the CSIs, Bones, 24, Doctor Who, both Stargates, BSG.
Test Patterns. Used to be on all night, until they canceled it for Infomercials. TV has never been the same.
“24”, House, Stargate (both), The Closer, Heroes & Shark.
The ones I watch when I can... in no particular order...
How It’s Made
Modern Marvels
Around The Service
Battlestar Galactica (Wife calls it my “soap”)
Anything to do with astronomy and/or engineering
Another Battlestar Galactica vote here!
My favorite is on PBS. Just about the only good thing on PBS.
The New Yankee Workshop
And I like the “Saltwater Sunday” fishing shows on ESPN2 Sunday mornings.
These are the only shows I almost never miss.
I have a “tween” at home and most nights are spent watching Disney channel shows (Phil of the Future, That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack & Cody, etc.) In some ways they remind me of the shows I grew up with (Brady Bunch, Partridge Family).
How about Stargate? Anyone watch that? You can guess by my favorites so far what genre I’m into. Otherwise, it’s usually Discovery. Although, my kids have lately discovered Boomerang. My 7 year old said he likes old cartoons better.
Desperate Housewives!
Strangers with Candy.
Anything on the NFL Channel. Sometimes “Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search” (nice T & A).
I got so sick of the pervasive Modern Liberal bias, I disconnected my cable and gave away my television in February. I haven’t watched it since.
