Join 16 modern-day pirates as they embark on a high seas adventure around the Caribbean island of Dominica in search of hidden treasure that will total $1 million. Over the course of 33 days, the pirates will live aboard a massive 179-foot pirate ship.
Each week, these buccaneers will go on extraordinary expeditions and decipher clues along the way. Gold coins - real money that the pirates can take with them beyond the show - will be awarded after each treasure hunt, but only to some. The prized gold will then play a key role as pirates strike deals with each other and vie for long-term security.
Claiming the lion's share of the week's riches, one pirate will become the captain of the ship and will assign roles and chores to the remaining crew members, setting the tone for law and order or betrayal and sabotage, which could lead to mutiny by the crew. Such fates will be decided on the ship at Pirate's Court, a lively gathering of public speaking and judgment where one individual will be "cut adrift" every episode.
In the end, captain or not, only one pirate will win the largest booty, worth $500,000, and claim the title of "Pirate Master."
Louie is no Rupert. That’s for sure!
We still have two more pirates to cut adrift before "Team White" makes a reappearance. Just goes to show you that not all the clips they show necessary apply to the episode they are promoting.

Episode 4: Death by Coconuts
Attorney Adrift - Cheryl's Voyage Comes to an End
Spirits are high under Azmyth's leadership, but he must pass the Captain's hat over to Louie after he leads his Crew astray on the Expedition. Realizing the extent of the Captain's power, Louie sets his sights on cutting his rival Joe Don adrift once and for all. However, the introduction of a Royal Pardon that allows the Pirates to place bids for their safety has the potential to change everything. Alliances are broken and Pirates become bitter as everyone gathers at Pirates' Court, where Joe Don's closest associate, Cheryl, is cut adrift because of her alienating demeanor and her lack of popularity with the rest of the crew.
"I didn't bid for the pardon," she explains as she floats out to sea. "I just felt that if they don't want me here, then I'm gonna go. And to be able to say that I didn't succumb to the backstabbing and the lying makes me a better person and I'm so glad I did it."
The Game Has Changed - Jay is Betrayed
After another Pirates' Court, the crew of the Picton Castle heads below deck for the night. Cheryl realizes she barely made it out alive and if it wasn't for Joe Don defending her and Captain Azmyth casting his final vote, it could have been Cheryl floating out to sea instead of Alexis. But Cheryl knows she's not in the clear just yet. "It's evident that the whole game has changed when it comes to the mental aspect of it," she explains. "It's going to be more of a popularity contest and that has changed the whole dynamics of the game."
Cheryl isn't the only pirate to return from Pirates' Court disillusioned. Jay returns to the cabin, still floored by Sean's decision to vote for Alexis despite accepting Jay's bribe to cast his ballot for Cheryl. Sean sits with Jay and apologizes for going back on his word. He explains that he couldn't honor the pact he had made with Jay because he couldn't see a reason to cut Cheryl adrift. "I told you, I shook your hand and looked in your eyes," Sean begins. "I'm not gonna lie to you ever again, but it had to be that way." Jay accepts Sean's apology, but doesn't forgive him. "Sean went back on his word," Jay proclaims. "In essence, Sean is dead to me."
Rise and Shine and Flirt
The next morning, Louie and Azmyth wake the rest of the crew so they can prepare for their next Expedition. As the crew scrubs the deck, Nessa playfully flirts with Joe Don and the former Captain flirts back, splashing seawater all over her. Joy and Cheryl observe Nessa's flirtation, rolling their eyes as Nessa and Joe Don continue to splash each other. Joy realizes that Nessa is manipulating the men, but she points out, "The men are outnumbered in the crew. So while you're trying to work one side, you need to find a way to work the other side because what you think may come right around and bite you in the butt."
Pirate Ship or Cruise Boat? - Azmyth Focuses on Fun
Under Azmyth's leadership, the crew takes some time to genuinely enjoy life on a pirate ship. Everyone cheers as Azmyth swings over the side and dives into the water. "When Azmyth took office and became Captain of the ship, you can tell some things changed," Ben observes. "It's a big party. He didn't quite take it as serious, which is fun for a cruise boat, but on a pirate ship, you gotta be more of a disciplinarian." As the crew gathers on the deck to put on a race between three sea crabs, Ben thinks back to the reign of Joe Don. "He was a hard Captain, but that's the way it should probably be on a pirate ship."
When Cheryl asks Azmyth about his plan for things to come, Azmyth acts somewhat elusive and explains that he must have a conversation with God. Laurel overhears this and comments about how it's becoming increasingly difficult to take Azmyth seriously because of his fake English accent. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew sets sail.
The Frenchman's Treasure
The ship drops anchor and host Cameron Daddo calls the Pirates to the Quarter Deck, where he waits with the key to the next compartment of the Chest of Zanzibar. For the second time in a row, Jay opens the compartment and pulls out a pair of wooden maps and a note from Captain Henry Steel. Cameron reads the note and informs the crew that this treasure was hidden by the ship's Master Craftsman, Olivier Le Grand, a shifty dealmaker who never missed an opportunity to catch his own reflection.
When it's time to pick crews, Captain Azmyth and his two Officers, Jay and Jupiter, are put on the Black Crew while the rest of the Pirates must pick either a red or black shot to determine which crew they'll join. Louie smiles when he picks a red shot, saying, "I am way happy to be on the opposite team as Joe Don. I can not get more pumped than what we're doing here today. It's about taking Joe Don down, whatever we have to do." Once everyone picks their shot, the Black Crew consists of Azmyth, Jay, Jupiter, Laurel, Christa, Cheryl and Joe Don while the Red Crew includes Louie, Ben, Joy, Kendra, Nessa, and Sean. When Sean realizes he's on the same crew as Joy and Kendra, he's disappointed because his crew seems weaker than the Black Crew. "I was just worried, 'cause I mean, you look at the Black Crew today, that is a power crew," he says dejectedly. "Some of the strongest, smartest, fastest people on the Picton are on that crew. So, I mean, I was nervous, man." As the longboats are lowered, Azmyth is confident. "I'm not nervous at all," he confidently proclaims. "Why would I be? I plan on winning."
Coconut Avalanche
For the Expedition, the Pirates will row to shore towards an anchor on the beach, where they'll find a trail into the jungle. Once on the trail, the first crew to the sabotage point can use it to slow down the other crew. Past the sabotage, the Pirates must locate the Croc's Head landmark where they'll find their next clue.
Cameron fires the blunderbuss and the Expedition begins with both crews heading out in their longboats. The Red Crew makes a beeline for the anchor on the beach, beating the Black Crew to shore. The Black Crew isn't far behind as they follow the Red Crew into the jungle. Once everyone runs up the jungle trail, the Black Crew starts to pass the Red crew, reaching the sabotage point first. After the last member of the Black Crew arrives at the sabotage point, they unleash coconuts down the side of the hill onto the Red Crew, knocking the previously injured Joy further down the incline.
X Marks the Spot
Once both crews have passed the sabotage, everyone looks for the Croc's Head landmark. Jay sees a pair of ocean cliffs and comments, "It was crazy. It was like the ocean had actually carved two crocodile heads right into the stone." The Black Crew heads toward the cliffs with the Red Crew tailing behind. Azmyth finds a pile of rocks with a small, wooden box buried underneath. Inside the box, the Pirates find an old parchment with their next clue written on it: "Travel back to a nearby canyon cave where your map fits in a slot. A Treasure concealed will be revealed when X marks the spot." The Black Crew heads off in search of a nearby cave while Sean, who assists an injured Joy, and the rest of the Red Crew, find their box with the same clue.
Azmyth leads the Black Crew into a cave nestled between large rocks. He enters the cave alone, where he places the wooden map on a slot that rests on one of the cave walls. Using a nearby mirror that reflects a ray of sunlight onto the map, Azmyth notices where the reflected light hits the map, creating an "X" image where the treasure must be buried. Emerging from the cave, Azmyth leads the Black Crew back to the beach, assured that he knows exactly where to find the treasure. The Red Crew arrives at the cave shortly after the Black Crew has left, and Ben uses the map and mirror to discover the X on the beach.
Follow the Leader...Astray
Back on the beach, the Black Crew searches for an X near the anchor, since that's where Azmyth had seen the X on the map. No one can find the X, so Azmyth leads his crew farther down the beach. After leading his crew in circles, Azmyth decides to head back with his crew so everyone can take a look at the treasure's location. With the Black Crew gone, the Red Crew arrives at the anchor and just starts digging.
The Black Crew returns to the cave and Azmyth leads everyone inside to look at the map. When everyone realizes the treasure is in fact buried where they just came from, Azmyth admits, "I'm a bastard for putting us away from the anchor." On the beach, the Red Crew continues to dig for awhile before the Black Crew returns. Together, both crews dig up dirt and mud all around the anchor, in search of the buried treasure.
Shortly after Christa mistakenly finds a rock instead of the treasure, the Red Crew yells excitedly when they find the treasure buried under the anchor. Ben fires the blunderbuss, signaling a win for the Red Crew. Sean hoists the treasure chest up in the air. "My first win, it was huge," he says. "Because I felt like we had a handicapped, kind of underdog team, it just goes to show you, it's half physical and half mental." Louie shares everyone's excitement when he realizes what this win means for him: "I got a win and I'm gonna use it to get Joe Don, cut him adrift."
Small Treasure, Big Pardon
The Red Crew brings their treasure back onboard the ship and discovers a secret compartment in the chest with an old parchment. Cameron holds the parchment and the coins are counted. Sean is disappointed to learn that the treasure is only worth $5,000. Cameron informs everyone that it's time to elect a new Captain and everyone quickly nominates Louie. "I don't like being a Captain, I'd rather be a thorn in the Captain's side," he jokes as he accepts the nomination. Louie receives half of the treasure, which is $2500 and he picks Sean and Nessa as his two Officers.
Cameron opens the parchment that also came from the treasure chest, revealing it to be a Royal Pardon. "Whoever has the Pardon can not be cut adrift at Pirates' Court," he explains and hands the Pardon to Captain Louie. Cameron further explains that the Pirates can bid on the Royal Pardon, but all bids must be placed before the Pirates receive the Black Spots. The highest bidder will be revealed at Pirates' Court, where that Pirate must pay the Captain in full whether he or she needs the Pardon or not. Finally, Cameron mentions that if the Pirate who buys the Pardon doesn't use it, they must then sell it before the next Pirates' Court.
Pay for Yer Pardon
As Captain Louie and his two new Officers, Sean and Nessa, sit down to split up the smaller treasure, Louie informs them that he'd like to split the treasure evenly. "I think money's meant to be shared, not to be horded," Louie states. "That's the reason I hate Joe Don so much. He wanted to be a horder." Sean brings up the Royal Pardon and everyone realizes that Joe Don will most likely be the highest bidder since he is the richest Pirate on the ship. "We're all in positions to lean the crew towards making it so Joe Don leaves," Sean explains to Louie. "Joe Don knows that
what's he do? He either leaves the ship or he pays top bid to buy that Pardon. I mean, that's a power thing for you. You own that, Louie."
Below deck, Sean shows the Royal Pardon to the crew and explains that anyone can place a bid for it if they think they'll receive a Black Spot, and the highest bidder will be safe at Pirates' Court. Joe Don quickly asks Louie how many treasures he has won so far and is surprised to learn that Louie has won all four treasures. When Joe Don says, "So, you ain't poor," Louie quickly argues back. "Your Officers and you, of your greed, are richer than anyone on this ship," he yells at Joe Don. "So don't ask me how many treasures I've won!" After seeing Louie's anger, Joe Don realizes that he may need to buy that pardon to ensure he's not cut adrift.
No More Pact Man
Later that night, Joe Don pulls his former Bosun, Jay, aside and asks him to get Louie off his back. "I know you're tight with Louie, I know that he's your number one confidant," he begins. "Here's the deal. If I get a Black Spot, me and you, our deal, what we got going on is negated. I don't got your back, you don't got my back." Jay is surprised at Joe Don's ultimatum and incredulously asks, "I'm gonna do everything I can for you, but then if it doesn't work, you're gonna penalize me for it?" Joe Don continues to be stubborn about this, leading Jay to walk away angrily, grumbling, "Forget it, dude."
Still fuming, Jay climbs below deck and immediately confesses to his shipmates, revealing the fact that he's had a pact with Joe Don since day one. He informs the crew that the pact is now over. "Right now, I would actually like to see Joe Don cut adrift," Jay says as he writes a $6,001 bid for the Pardon. "My only safe bet was to spend all my money on the Pardon. Just in case I could grab that thing and use it as some leverage."
Black Spots of Spite
In the Captain's Cabin, Louie meets with Sean and Nessa to choose Pirates who will receive the Black Spot. It's no surprise when Louie tells his Officers he's gunning for Joe Don to be cut adrift. Louie's anger also reaches towards Joe Don's closest associate, Cheryl, and this bothers Sean who doesn't understand his vendetta against her. For his final nomination, Louie chooses Azmyth because he wants to test him at Pirates' Court. "Every Captain that falls down
when I fall down, throw me up on that Black Spot, because I think you should just have to pass the test," Louie explains.
Back on deck, Captain Louie and his Officers hand out the summons to each member of the crew. When Azmyth sees a Black Spot on his letter, he's not too worried. "The Pirates, I'm 99.9 percent sure, don't want to see me go anywhere very soon," he says confidently. Cheryl isn't pleased to see her second Black Spot in a row because she doesn't feel her actions on the crew warrant this punishment. As the Officers hand a letter to Joe Don, Louie jokes, "There's three of them on yours." When Joe Don sees the Black Spot on his letter, he's not surprised. He knows it's due to Louie's rivalry with him and says, "The guy's unreasonable right now 'cause I've got all the gold and he's got gold coins in his eyes." As everyone starts to discuss the Black Spots, Sean thinks about the effect of the Royal Pardon on tonight's proceedings. "You know, it's gonna come down to who paid the most to buy that Pardon," he says. "It's safety it's a get-out-of-jail-free card."
Later, Jupiter confides in Jay, expressing her disappointment in Louie for making decisions out of anger. She disapproves of Louie choosing to take out someone like Cheryl, just because of her association with Joe Don. Jay then takes a moment to talk with his former confidant, Joe Don, to see how he's feeling with Pirates' Court only a few hours away. As Joe Don admits that he's nervous, Jay shows him some compassion, even though his intentions aren't noble. Jay informs Joe Don that without that Pardon, he's probably the next Pirate to go.
Pirates' Court - Everyone Has Their Say
Everyone gathers on deck for another Pirates' Court where Cameron informs the Pirates that the Royal Pardon could save someone tonight. Captain Louie explains that he marked Azmyth because he believes a Captain should be tested once he's taken out of power. He marked Cheryl because of her association with Joe Don. Finally, he marked Joe Don because he has had a grudge with him since the beginning and one of the perks of being Captain is putting Joe Don on the Black Spot. When Cameron brings up the fact that it's part of the PIRATE MASTER code for the Captain to take half the treasure, Louie still faults Joe Don, saying, "No Captain is worth half the take."
Azmyth is the first marked Pirate to step forward and defend himself, reassuring the crew that his word is impeccable. "I plan on being here as long as I can to push every single one of us as far as we can to as much treasure as we can find past this night and to the end," he tells his shipmates. When Cameron mentions his loss on the Expedition, Azmyth owns up to his mistake and says, "I might have made some silly decisions in making us get our exercise. I went in, thought I had it, and I was a little bit off."
Cheryl then steps forward to defend herself saying, "It would be okay if I was being up here because I messed up a clue and put everybody in the wrong direction, but to put me up here because I associate with the Captain, that's difficult for me to understand." Nessa attacks Cheryl for alienating the rest of the crew and tries to reassure her that the decision to mark her wasn't personal. When Joe Don defends himself, he attacks Louie for not creating a positive environment on the ship and for harboring a personal grudge. "You're an angry Captain. You're pissed at me for something that I think is wrong, man," he begins. Joe Don then expresses his belief that a Captain should make more money than his crew before ending his defense by saying, "I don't deserve what you're throwing at me, dude. I love you, brother, I really do. I got nothin' with you." After hearing the defense, Cameron asks Louie if he's treating Joe Don fairly, and Louie admits it's not fair, but as a Captain, he is now a marked man. "Believe me, I don't like to be up here, but I'm here," Louie says, addressing his crew. "So whoever gets cut adrift tonight, you can blame me."
High Bid and Another Pirate Cut Adrift
Cameron announces that it's time to place the ballots. He adds that he'll reveal the highest bidder for the Royal Pardon after the ballots are collected. He also reiterates that if the Pirate with the most ballots is the highest bidder, then he or she is safe and the next Pirate with the most ballots against him or her will be cut adrift. One by one, the pirates place their ballots atop the dagger's blade. Before counting the ballots, Cameron announces that the new owner of the Royal Pardon is Joe Don, who placed the highest bid at $7,000. Louie sends Sean down to hand the pardon off to Joe Don, who is also told that he must pay the Captain immediately whether he uses the Pardon or not. Cameron examines the ballots and reveals that there are no Mutiny ballots. Turning to Joe Don, Cameron informs him that he just spent $7,000 on a Royal Pardon he didn't need because the majority of votes are not for him. As Joe Don rejoins his crew, Cameron tells him that the Pardon must change hands before the next Pirates' Court. Cameron turns to the two remaining Pirates, Cheryl and Azmyth, and informs Cheryl that the Pardon would have saved her because her name is on four ballots while Joe Don's only appears on three. Cheryl's voyage is now over and Louie cuts her adrift.

what's he do?

ARRRRR!!!!! The title o tonights episode be Loose Lips Sink Ships
From the few vidcaps Ive seen, it appears that the crew breakdown for tonights expedition is as follows:
The Black Crew consists of Louie, Nessa, Sean, Joy, Christa, Joe Don.
The Red Crew consists of Azmyth, Jay, Ben, Jupiter, Kendra, Laurel.
So, Louie and Joe Don are on the same crew. Will the animosity between these two, handicap the Black Crew to the point of causing them to loose the expedition? Well, we have vidcaps of the Black Crew lagging behind in a run through the jungle, of Nessa falling into a sabotage pit and of a happy Red Crew. So, using my powers of deductive reasoning, I have concluded that the Red Crew wins again and we will get a new Captain.
And just who will that new Captain be? Why Azmyth of course. And you know what that means?
Louie will be one of the three that gets the dreaded Black Spot.
And probably Joe Don and Joy get Black Spots as well.
Of these three, who is the unlucky pirate to have his/her rope cut? With six votes being cast, and since Joe Don has had to sell his pardon, I wouldnt be surprised to see a three way tie with each getting two votes. That leaves Captain Azmyth to decide who gets the axe. Showing that he has his crews best interest in mind, he decides that since she has been injured too many times and is a hindrance to the crew, he picks Joy to be cut adrift.
Now, Im going to have surgery on my shoulder tomorrow (to remove a bone spur), but Ill try and be back Monday with a recap.
Take Care,

Joy? Hmmm.
It does appear she is in that crew of white caps.
Thanks Cuz! I hope your surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery!
Good Luck with the shoulder surgery. A friend had that surgery and was up and running within a week. Maybe you should watch the show after you get the meds, so the show may seem better then.....LOL
thanks for the postings, cuz.
this show is starting to blow. if you edited out all the scenes of teams rowing and running through the jungle, it would be a 30-minute show. I’ll probably hang on to the bitter end, but if I miss an episode I won’t care much.
good luck with your surgery.
Ditto here, especially now that Cheryl is gone. All that’s left now is a bunch of California freaks that maybe have half a brain among them all. Boring!

Episode 4: Loose Lips Sink Ships
Out of the Galley and Into the Sea: Sean is Cut Adrift
Azmyth reclaims the role of Captain, with Ben and Jay as his Officers, and everyone starts bidding on the Royal Pardon to save their skin. After Nessa, with the help of Joe Don, places the highest bid on the Pardon, she is shocked to find out she isn't even a recipient of the Black Spot. At Pirates' Court, the Pardon would have come in handy for Sean, who is cut adrift because of dubious loyalties.
As Sean floats out to sea, he reflects on the events that led to his departure: "I really was surprised I was cut adrift tonight. There's a lot of conniving going on, on that ship. I think they're trying to cut off some of the stronger competitors. I was kind of blindsided by that one. I kind of blame that little trio of guys I thought I was close with. I mean, all three of them decided to give me a black spot and I'm pretty positive they swayed the votes the way they wanted to go. But I mean it's a game and I got railroaded, man."
Tensions Rise
After Cheryl is cut adrift, the Pirates head downstairs into the crew quarters. Sean admits to Joe Don that he's glad he wasn't cut adrift, but Joe Don doubts his sincerity. Across the room, Ben and Nessa lie next to each other while Ben commiserates over Cheryl's departure. "One day, you're searching through the forest for hidden treasure and then the next day, you gotta see one of your friends float off on a pathetic little raft, never to be seen again," he says as Nessa lays her hand on his arm. Sean observes Nessa's flirtation with Ben and doesn't approve of how she's pulling the men on the ship to her side.
Later, Sean confronts Nessa, blaming her for Cheryl's departure, which leads Nessa to counterattack, calling him two-faced. "Sean has made a lot of enemies lately," Nessa explains. "He's talking out of both sides of his mouth. But, you can't go around pissing people off and rubbing people the wrong way like that. It's gonna come back and get you."
When Nessa attacks Sean for voting for Cheryl, he claims he never wanted Cheryl gone and accuses Nessa of voting for Pirates who may be problematic for her down the line. After Jupiter joins the argument, Sean attacks Nessa for using back massages to get guys on her side and she retorts, "What are we, in junior high?" As the argument winds down, Sean sums up his feelings on Nessa by saying, "She's conniving, she's manipulative. If we lose tomorrow, I think, with my sway, I can get her gone."
Christa Reaches New Heights
The next morning, Captain Louie wakes his crew and thinks ahead to the next treasure and the possibility of taking more money this time. "The Captain does deserve more," he confesses. "But if he takes more than two shares, he's greedy." Up on deck, the crew starts to hoist the sails along with the pirate flag.
Christa conquers a fear of heights, ingrained in her since her grandfather suffered a tragic fall, by climbing up the rigging for the first time. As her shipmates cheer from below, she ponders what winning the treasure could mean for her life with her daughter. "I have a six-year-old daughter," she explains through tears. "I just wanna give my daughter a better life. She deserves the money more than anybody here."
A Gambler's Treasure
Host Cameron Daddo meets with the crew on the ship's quarterdeck where he reveals the key to the next compartment of the Chest of Zanzibar. Jupiter uses the key to open the compartment, where she finds two maps written on the back of large playing cards: the Ace of Hearts and the Ace of Clubs. Cameron explains that this latest treasure was hidden by Barnabus Bagley, the pilot of Captain Henry Steel's ship. Bagley was a skilled navigator who had a weakness for gambling and playing Blackjack.
Captain Louie and his two Officers, Sean and Nessa, join the Black Crew while everyone else picks shot from the bag to determine which crew they will join for the Expedition. As everyone picks shot, Nessa explains, "My plan on the Expedition is to win at all costs. It's important for me to hold onto my position because Jupiter and Sean are out to get me."
Once the crews are divided, the Black Crew consists of Louie, Joy, Nessa, Joe Don, Christa and Sean, while the Red Crew includes Azmyth, Jupiter, Laurel, Kendra, Ben and Jay. For this Expedition, the Pirates must use their map and paddle to the anchor on the beach. Then, they must head west to the Voodoo Forest where they will search for a card of the same suit to pair with their Ace and make 21. There, they will find their next clue.
Booby Traps and Voodoo
Both crews set off to shore in their longboats, but the Black Crew gets there first. The Black Crew crosses a river and heads into the forest. As Nessa runs between the trees, her foot catches on a trip wire that sends her falling to the ground with palm fronds falling on top of her. Sean sees this and notes, "That was comical, but it narrowed the gap between us and the Red Crew." The Red Crew maneuvers around the booby trap and makes their way to the Voodoo Forest. Both crews scour the forest in search of face cards that rest on the trees to match the playing cards that adorn the back of their maps.
The Black Crew finds a Jack of Clubs, which they need to pair up with their Ace of Clubs to make 21. In that particular tree, they discover a canister containing their next clue: "Return to the anchor from whence you did start. Search the horizon for the treasure close to your heart." As the Red Crew continues to search for a Jack of Hearts, the Black Crew takes their clue and an accompanying spyglass and heads back toward the anchor. When the Red Crew finally finds the Jack of Hearts and their clue, they worry the Black Crew is too far ahead.
A Palm Tree in the Sky is where the Treasure Lies
On the beach, the Black Crew can't see anything through their spyglass because it got wet on their trek back to the beach. As they try to dry it out, the Red Crew starts to catch up. Christa convinces her crew to just head towards the island while they wait for the spyglass to dry, so they hop back into the longboat and head out, hoping to find a heart that will lead to their next clue. The Red Crew uses their spyglass to find the heart on a tree across the horizon and the Black Crew sees it too as they paddle to shore.
When both crews arrive at the island, they hike up a steep hill, through jagged terrain. Nessa leads the Black Crew to a gravestone and they unearth a casket, which contains their next clue: "The closest point to heaven is palm tree in the sky. Underneath its braches is where my treasure lies." The Black Crew spots a palm tree up the hill, where the treasure is buried. Arriving at the palm tree, the Black Crew starts digging around it while the Red Crew catches up to them.
Christa starts to dig a hole, but gives up on it, leading Jay to dig deeper into the same hole, where he finds a bag containing the treasure. The Red Crew cheers and Jupiter fires the blunderbuss, signaling their win. As Christa starts crying because she was so close, Jay comments, "On the next Expedition, I'm just gonna like dig one foot around Christa. I figure it's easier than trying to find it myself."
A New Louie and an Old Captain
Exhausted from the Expedition, the Black Crew heads below deck where Louie grabs Joe Don's hands and strikes a truce, proclaiming that he no longer has vengeance in his life. "I no longer wear the blue jacket," he explains. "No longer do I have any vengeance. I'm back to the humble seaman, a worthy swab."
Meanwhile, the Red Crew climbs back on deck and eagerly counts their treasure, which is worth $40,000. When Cameron informs everyone that they must pick a new Captain, everyone nominates Azmyth again. Azmyth accepts the position, takes his half of the treasure, and chooses Ben and Jay to be his new Officers. As the rest of the crew heads below deck with their portion of the treasure, Azmyth feels good about being Captain again. "I decided to choose Ben and I decided to choose Jay, two really strong guys," he explains. "And I really hope to be there with them 'til the end." Back in the Captain's cabin, Azmyth decides to share a lot of the treasure with the rest of the crew, just like he did last time.
Bidding Buddies
Later that night, Jupiter and Sean talk in the galley about their desire to see Nessa cut adrift, but they don't realize that Nessa is eavesdropping from the galley roof. Sean and Jupiter estimate how much money Nessa may bid on the Royal Pardon, which could save her from being cut adrift, and whether or not Jupiter should try and outbid her. Nessa continues to spy on them and later comments, "The people that are out to get me better hope I don't win, 'cause if I do, they're going down in a heartbeat."
In the morning, as everyone scrubs the deck, Nessa pulls Joe Don aside to talk about the Royal Pardon. She knows Joe Don still has the Pardon after the last Pirates' Court and she hopes to buy it from him. After she tells him that she placed a bid for $6,000, Joe Don says he wants to give her more money. "It's just a nice, fresh face to look at amongst the crew," he explains. "I just don't want to see her go." Joe Don hands her an additional $2,500 in gold coins to add to her bid, so she can put the Pardon far out of reach of the others. As Nessa changes her bid to $9,000, she comments on taking a risk by saying, "You could put a lot of money down on the Royal Pardon and not get a Black Spot and be in the hole, financially. And it's just a gamble you take for a little bit of insurance."
Jay Sways His Way
Now that he is an Officer and is unable to vote, Jay still takes comfort in the fact that he directly or indirectly controls everyone on the ship except for Laurel. When Jay approaches Laurel and asks about how she votes with her heart, she tells him, "I'm not going with what everyone else goes with because they ask me to." As he walks away, she rolls her eyes and comments, "Everything that I hear out of Jay's mouth, I feel like it's a lie."
Captain Azmyth meets with his Officers to determine which three pirates should receive the Black Spots for the upcoming Pirates' Court. When everyone realizes that Nessa will probably purchase the Pardon, Azmyth decides to throw a loop into the game and not give Nessa a Black Spot, thus making her bid pointless. Jay agrees and also nominates Sean because he doesn't trust Sean ever since he went back on his word.
Everyone also agrees Louie should receive a Black Spot since he himself stated that a former Captain should always be tested at Pirates' Court after he or she is removed from power. When they can't think of a third pirate to mark, Jay suggests Laurel because she doesn't take sides in this game. Pleased with their decisions, the Captain and his Officers prepare to meet with the crew.
Pirates' Court - The Pardon Changes Hands
The entire crew gathers on deck for Pirates' Court, where Cameron asks Joe Don to hold up the Royal Pardon and he explains that whoever has the highest bid will be safe, though they must pay Joe Don the full amount whether they need the Pardon or not. Azmyth explains that he marked Louie because of his own belief that a Captain should be put on the stand. He marked Laurel because they don't know which side she's on. Finally, he marked Sean because he seems two-faced when talking to the crew.
Louie starts his defense by restating his belief that any former Captain should be tested, before saying "I believe I was a fair Captain and I am ready to take your test." Laurel is the next to defend herself, but she's confused about Azmyth's choice of words because she's not on anybody's side. Azmyth apologizes for his terminology, but his explanation only further confuses Laurel and the rest of the crew. Laurel then reassures everyone that she doesn't take sides and that she'll continue to push herself on the Expeditions.
When Sean defends himself, he mentions that the practice of saying one thing and doing another is part of the game and he wants to stay on the ship. "I want to be here," he states. "I want to run with you, I want to row with you, I want to bleed with you, I want to sweat with you. But most of all I wanna get back in that kitchen and cook you a great dinner tonight."
Cameron informs the crew that he'll reveal the highest bidder after everyone places their ballots. One by one, the crew places their ballots atop the dagger's blade, securing their vote. Cameron examines the ballots and reveals that the Captain is safe and that Laurel received no ballots. Cameron then informs the two remaining pirates that Sean received the most ballots but the Royal Pardon could save him, leaving Louie to be cut adrift. After he examines the bids, Cameron tells everyone that Nessa placed the highest bid at $9,000, so Sean is the next pirate to be cut adrift.

The Red Crew consists of Joe Don, Jupiter, Kendra, Louie, Nessa
Who wins the expedition? The SeeBS website offers up the following clues:
Splitting the treasure has brought out the best in the crew...will changing that system bring out the worst?"
Mutiny is the word on the Pirates' breaths as their powerful captain becomes flush with privilege. Since Azmyth has been shown to share the wealth the most, its a safe bet that the black crew wins the expedition, Azmyth remains as Captain, and decides to keep half the treasure for himself. This doesnt sit well with the crew, hence the next clue: A secret society forms within the crew in an attempt to steer the remaining voyage. And the talk of Mutiny.
And who leads the talk of Mutiny? That would be Louie and Joe Don. Which leads to Joe Don being cut adrift tonight.
Well there you have it, the Black Crew wins the expedition, Azmyth remains Captain, and Joe Don is cut adrift.

No More Joy - Another Pirate Cut Adrift
The crew of the Picton Castle gets annoyed with Captain Azmyth's leadership and his alliance with his two Officers, Jay and Ben. When the Black Crew wins another Expedition, the triad remains in power and they set their sights on targeting two weak females, Joy and Kendra, and the strongest male competitor, Joe Don, at Pirates' Court. After Joe Don reclaims the Royal Pardon, which he doesn't need, it is Joy who receives the most ballots before being cut adrift.
"I hate losing," Joy says, as she floats out to sea. "I gave 110 percent. And then when you lose, it hits you pretty hard, but then you get up, dust your knees off and keep going."
Can the Women Make a Difference?
As the Pirates make their way below deck, Nessa realizes she may be the "brokest Pirate on the ship" after spending $9,000 on a Royal Pardon she didn't need. However, she takes solace in the fact that she has made a good impression on Joe Don, who donated $2,500 towards the Pardon to ensure she wasn't cut adrift. Joy watches as Captain Azmyth and his two Officers, Ben and Jay, return to the Captain's Cabin. "We really don't know what goes on in them chambers," Joy says. "Those three men got a plan and a strategy."
In the Captain's Cabin, the triad of Azmyth and his Officers rejoice over Sean's departure, which was always part of their strategy. "We don't have to worry about three strong men on the other crew," Jay explains. "No matter what, the other crew is gonna have Joe Don and they're gonna have Louie. It's not bad."
Meanwhile, Joe Don and the women complain about the "boys club" that Azmyth, Jay, and Ben are creating. When Joe Don brings up the idea that there should be three women in charge of the ship, Christa declares that she would be an effective Captain. Laurel thinks about what the women must do to get in power. "These three guys are gonna stick together no matter what," she comments. "They're gonna take over, they're gonna try to get the other men gone. The women need to step up and win against the Captain. Then we'll be able to have an all girls Officer group."
Lazy Leader
In the morning, resentment towards Azmyth's leadership continues to grow when the Captain elects to sleep late instead of helping his crew at dawn. "As a Captain, Azmyth is junk," Joe Don proclaims. "He doesn't have the leadership qualities that I think a Captain should have."
Once Azmyth wakes up, he meets with Laurel in the galley to apologize for his confusing terminology in the previous Pirates' Court. As Azmyth tries to explain the idea of taking sides in this game, Laurel reiterates that she doesn't take sides when voting. Despite the apology, Laurel's attitude towards Azmyth doesn't change. "I have no respect for that fool right now," she explains. "When he's in the blue coat, he's a totally different person He's a super freak in a blue coat."
The Bosun's Treasure
Host Cameron Daddo gathers the Pirates on the quarterdeck where Jay opens the next compartment of the Chest of Zanzibar, which contains two maps and a note. Cameron reads the note and reveals that the next treasure was hidden by the ship's Bosun, who was in charge of the deck crew. Everyone proceeds to pick shot to determine which crew they will join for the Expedition. The Red Crew consists of Louie, Joe Don, Nessa, Kendra and Jupiter while the Black Crew includes Azmyth, Jay, Ben, Laurel, Christa and Joy. When everyone learns that they must swim to shore for this Expedition, Jay starts to wonder if Joy and Kendra will be a liability. "The only thing I could do for Joy is just to stay with her
But they've got Kendra
I think she's gonna be a big anchor for the other team."
An Anchor for Both Crews
As the Expedition begins, everyone jumps over the side of the ship and into the water. The Pirates swim to shore where they must locate a hidden ladder within a nearby plantation ruin. As everyone swims, Jay assists Joy while Joe Don helps Kendra, pulling her through the water. Despite Kendra's lack of swimming prowess, the Red Crew reaches the beach first and quickly runs to the plantation, with the Black Crew close behind. Both crews find the rope ladders with their next clue: "On this journey you must carry this ladder, which will prove quite necessary."
Carrying the cumbersome ladder, the Pirates make their way up a steep path into the mountains in search of a wrecked longboat which contains their next clue. The Black Crew delegates Joy to be their directional person, but their attempt at putting her in front so she can lead with her map doesn't work. Joy has trouble keeping up with her crew and surprises everyone when she asks for a drink of water. "When you're out there and somebody's dragging behind that much and somebody wants to stop and have water, I'm like you don't need water," Jay complains. "You need loot, you need treasure. Keep moving." The Black Crew gets to the longboat first and retrieves their next clue, which lets them know that they must continue into the jungle and find a pair of masts in the trees where they will hoist their ladders and untie a key from a tricky knot.
Climbing is Key
The Black Crew heads into the jungle and locates a mast, but the Red Crew starts to catch up. As the Black Crew hoists their ladder up on the tree's mast, the Red Crew does the same on another tree. Azmyth climbs up the ladder and starts to untie the knot while Louie climbs for the Red Crew. Louie struggles to find the key, which is right near his foot. By the time he finds it, Azmyth is already descending his ladder with key in hand.
Once both keys are retrieved, the Crews head down a narrow ravine in search of a footbridge, which contains the clues that will lead the Pirates to the Bosun's treasure. As the Black Crew treks through the mud, Christa yells at Joy, telling her to go faster or she'll get a Black Spot. When the Black Crew climbs up another rope ladder that scales the side of a steep cliff, Ben admires Christa's athleticism. "I'm crazy impressed with Christa, she's a soldier," he says. "She looks like a Barbie doll on steroids, but she never stops."
Dangerous Bridge to Gold
The Black Crew reaches the footbridge first, but the Red Crew isn't far behind. As everyone makes their way across the precarious, shaky rope bridge, Ben discovers words on the boards by his feet that make up their next clue. Jay deciphers them and realizes that the clue is "Off the bow portside treasure."
Once the Black crew crosses to the other side, they find a large rock with a ship painted on it. Ben searches on the port side of the painting and finds the treasure, securing another win for the Black Crew. As everyone cheers, Joy excitedly proclaims, "I just won so much money and I can now say I belong again."
The Red Crew doesn't share in the excitement. Nessa realizes what this loss means for her and the others. "It was important for us to get Azmyth out of the Captainship," she explains. "It's not just the treasure you're losing, but it's potentially the end of your voyage and none of us wanted that."
An Unstoppable Force
When the Red Crew returns to the ship after their loss, Cameron informs Nessa that she must get rid of the Royal Pardon by the next Pirates' Court. The Black Crew boards the ship next and immediately starts counting the treasure, which amounts to $40,000. Azmyth chooses to keep his same Officers and rationalizes it by saying, "We have three strong males that the other crew can not acquire. And strategically our minds work very well together. We're truly trying to seek the end of the game right now." As Azmyth and his Officers head back below deck, Jay takes comfort in the fact that the three of them are the biggest force on the Expeditions.
One for You, More for Me
Azmyth chooses to split it 60-40 so he and his Officers can pocket more of the gold. When Joy accepts her share, she notices how the blue coat is starting to change Azmyth since the treasure was split evenly last time. Laurel is the next to retrieve her portion and she comments, "The way I feel about Azmyth right now is super sketchy. I look at him as like a greedy idiot that needs to go home."
As Azmyth and his Officers discuss the upcoming Black Spots, they complain about Joy's performance on the Expedition. Even though Azmyth prefers Joy to Kendra, everyone realizes one of them must go. They speculate that Joe Don will place the highest bid on the Pardon, but if he buys it, one of the slow females will surely be cut adrift. The triad settles on Joe Don, Kendra and Joy as the three marked Pirates.
Pirates' Passionate Peck
Later that night, Joe Don and Nessa talk up on deck about Azmyth's unpredictability and their inability to trust him. After a while, the mutinous talk turns to flirting. Joe Don makes his move and the two Pirates share a kiss.
Black Spot Bingo
The next morning, Azmyth and his Officers hand out the summons to the crew. After receiving a Black Spot on her letter, Joy worries about her chances of survival because she didn't bid on the Pardon. Even though Kendra had a feeling she would receive a Black Spot, she doesn't think she deserves one. When Joe Don sees his Black Spot, he considers Mutiny, but realizes it's futile because the Officers have to agree.
Our Fate is in Your Hands
When the crew chats about the Black Spots, they realize that Azmyth, Ben and Jay are trying to stack the deck by getting rid of the strong males. Joe Don considers this and notes, "I think the threat Az feels with me is a physical one. I think I've got a big target on my head." When his shipmates ask Joe Don if he placed a bid on the Pardon, he points out that he probably doesn't need to bid since he works hard on the Expeditions, making him the crew's greatest asset.
Jay urges Nessa to vote for Joy because she stopped on the Expedition. After Jay tells her they won't Black Spot her if she goes along with this, Nessa comments, "I don't like being threatened into how I need to vote. I'm not afraid of them and I'm not gonna do what they tell me to like a little sheep." Meanwhile, in the galley, Jupiter tells Joy that she has a good chance of staying on the ship and the two share an emotional embrace. "This is my third time going to Pirates' Court and I still feel like everyone likes me," Joy says. "I know it all depends on how my crew feels and it lies in their hands."
Elsewhere on the ship, Louie and Kendra discuss whether or not Joy's personality may secure her more votes since she has made more friends than Kendra. Knowing this could be her downfall, Kendra appeals to Nessa, explaining that she still performs better than Joy on Expeditions. Louie also faces a tough decision tonight. "I did say that I would never vote for a lady," he explains. "And tonight I almost have to because Joe Don is now my closest ally in the fight against the Black."
Pirates' Court - Tough To Call
At Pirates' Court, Captain Azmyth explains that he marked Kendra because she's slow, he marked Joy because of her request for water on the Expedition, and he marked Joe Don because he's a strong competitor. Joy is the first Pirate to defend herself when she states, "I understand that I may be the weak one out here, but I never give up and I feel as though I'm doing the best that I can do."
Kendra begins her defense by bringing up her Expedition wins before saying, "Somebody's always going to be in the back. I just try and make sure that my back is only ten feet from yours." Joe Don addresses the Captain during his defense when he warns him that he is a threat to their power, before addressing his crew. "I think it's gonna be tough if I'm gone and the brunt is on Louie," he pleads to his shipmates. "With four women and one man against three strong men, it seems like an easy equation to me." Louie voices his concern before the vote by saying, "I can think of 100,000 reasons on why not to vote for all of them and I can't think of one good one why. I don't know what I'm doing."
One by one, the Pirates cast their ballots. Cameron examines the three bids on the Royal Pardon and informs the crew that if the highest bidder has the most ballots, the Pirate with the next highest ballots will be cut adrift. When Joe Don is announced to be the highest bidder at $12,000, Nessa smiles, realizing she's not broke anymore. After Joe Don pays her, Cameron informs him that he just spent $12,000 on a Pardon he didn't need. Joe Don rejoins the crew and Cameron reveals the final vote: 3 ballots for Joy, 2 for Kendra. Joy says farewell to her shipmates as she is cut adrift.
