Arnold Schwarzenegger 'Too Busy' To Bother With Paris Hilton
The Post Chronicle ^ | May 13, 2007

Posted on 05/14/2007 5:14:01 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has refused to be drawn into Paris Hilton's jail appeal, insisting he has more pressing matters to deal with.

The desperate socialite, who was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail earlier this month after violating terms of her 2006 drunk-driving arrest, has teamed up with a pal to pioneer an online petition begging the politician for a pardon.

The appeal, which is addressed to Schwarzenegger, claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong."

Earlier this week Schwarzenegger's press secretary insisted it was premature to comment on the case, but his boss hinted yesterday her campaign was likely to end in disappointment.

Schwarzenegger said, "I've never got any request. But I have many more important things to think about."

The appeal....claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong."

But IT IS wrong you idiots! Honestly, the arrogance of these people. It's no wonder that they are regarded as the airheads they appear to be. They are airheads. I am one American who believes it's wrong.

I am also one American who was DUI'd in my younger years and had to do everything that they said I needed to do.

And I did it without complaint. Because I KNEW I WAS WRONG!

So shut up, suck it up, and do your stint you little tramp princess.

/rant.

She was given an extremely fair amount of time. The 45 days in jail wasn't for just a DUI. It was for a DUI probation + Driving with suspended license twice and basically contempt of court. You would have been sentences for 6 months minimum guaranteed. She is still getting off easy.

Hey Paris - time to grow up. Have some real ‘real life’. Then come back and tell us about how fabulous you are.

She also showed up about an hour late for her court appearance...which pi$$ed off the judge too.

I do believe it was this camel that broke the judges back. Judges are very busy people and some of them will not tolerate being tardy. They figure "Hey, I made it here on-time"

Good rule of thumb: dont be late for your probation hearing.

duh.

“Paris Hilton sentenced to 45 days in jail”

To: Rb ver. 2.0

In the future, please refrain from cluttering up the main news forum with crap like this.

Thanks,

What’s the bet that half Paris’ fans want her to go to jail - just so they can see her next sex tapes, albeit these ones from a correctional facility...

“She probably spends 45 days a year in a salon.”

“more like a saloon.”

I think Bikerman has it right

Unfortunately, really wealthy people like Paris believe they can do what the want...laws don’t apply to them. In many cases they are correct. However, Paris ran into a judge who is not a celebrity worshiping nincompoop. Drunk driving is dangerous;she could have hired a driver-stupid girl.

She's in the poky for a little bit more than being a brat. Drunk driving without a license while on probation. I can't imagine why you would trivialize that.

Forty-Five days for being a brat

I thought she originally got a ticket for DUI. Got probation and then got caught driving with suspended license only. I don’t see a DUI twice.

She failed a field sobriety test and admitted to having been drinking before driving.

I would.

Can we include some other “celebrities” such as Jane Fonda, Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Babs, Meathead, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Dixie Twits and all the rest of the Hollowood idiots?

The list would be too long.

Yeah, I tried but I couldn't work up any either. And then I had another cup of coffee.

We need more judges like that. The kind of defense lawyers little miss Hilton can afford really love to play up the celebrity aspect. I think O.J. might be behind bars today if Ito hadn't been such a vain celebrity hound. (I could be wrong, though, as you never know what will happen in a jury trial).

What are the chances she will skip the country and become a fugitive? She couldn't’t come back until another Clinton is in office to pardon her.

Any guesses about who she would have to sleep with to get the pardon?
