You've made some excellent points. I still don't know why people continue to buy into these massive conspiracy theories, especially since the growth of the 9/11 "Truth" movement has shown that most conspiracy theories are smoke and mirrors cooked up by crazy people.

My eyes were opened after I saw the "Beyond Conspiracy" documentary with Peter Jennings that finally showed that all of the things I'd been told over the years about the assassination were simply wrong or inaccurate. The best line in the documentary is when the architect of a 3D rendering proves that the magic bullet theory is not magic, nor a theory, but a fact.

The Kennedy Assassination Conspiracy industry is a creation of the left who had to cook up some massive phantom government conspiracy to disguise the fact that it was a lone communist left wing Castro-loving traitorous nut (i.e. one of them) that murdered JFK, by himself, because he (Oswald) was a loyal adherent to the communist cause. They further whitewash history by trying to paint Kennedy as some kind of peacemaker when he was in fact a ardent hawk who was willing to go to war with the Soviet Union over something as small as West Berlin.

That's the real reason that I keep coming back to these discussions. I don't have an unhealthy fascination with the JFK murder, and am not titillated by spooky ghost stories and murder mysteries like some of the bamboozled buffs are. I simply will not let the radical left wing and those that they've fooled into believing their lies continue to spread falsehoods and subversive propoganda in order to cover up their treasonous crime that they intend to pin on their political adversaries, namely us. It infuriates me and I never pass up an opportunity to force the truth into the discussion.

Every time I meet a person who is enthusiastic about politics, I eventually try to see if I can get them to voice their opinion about the JFK assassination even if it takes considerable time for the opportune moment to approach. I have found it to be a very good indicator of a given person's mental balance. The best answers are 'Oswald did it, of course' or 'I think Oswald probably did it'. If I hear anything else, or find out that I am talking to a buff, I know that it will be a short time before I start hearing lines of dialogue lifted directly from the script of Oliver Stone's execrable movie JFK repeated as it were historical fact.

I know then that I am talking to a complete loon whose mind is easily manipulated.

An easier test is ask them if they believe 9/11 was planned; that's a real sure fire way to weed out nutcases. JFK being assassinated by the CIA or any other government entity isn't backed up by the facts, but its a helluva lot more believable than George Bush and the Carlyle Group blowing up the WTC with explosives to invade Iraq.

One of the points Jennings made was that most people want to believe in a conspiracy because it is simply too much to fathom that a lone nut like Oswald could kill the most powerful man and the world and affect human history in such a way. There simply must have been something bigger, because it shouldn't be possible for one person to have caused something with such massive ramifications.

The fact is that to this day there is no physical evidence of a conspiracy; Oswald could, and did make both shots, and he did so alone.

People who point to the grassy knoll have never been to Dealy Plaza. The grassy knoll isn't some vast patch of land, its a small lawn about the size of my front yard. Zapruder himself would have been startled by the shots since he was only a few feet away.

These days I steer real clear of '9/11 Truthers' who think the WTC was brought down by explosives and radio controlled jetliners.

I listened to one nutbat at a New Year's Eve party here in SF a couple years ago go on and on to anyone who would listen about Bush's grandfather meeting Hitler on a Nazi zeppelin, the Trilateral Commission, Osama visiting the Bush ranch, timed CIA explosives planted by Marvin Bush, radio controlled jet liners, "Haven't you seen 'Loose Change'? Well, let me get your email so I can... Hey, where are you going?"... Just fascinating. He truly believed it. Really made everyone uncomfortable. He's still out there believing it, I bet.

All these links will give enough background that will support the actual conspiracy that is ongoing today. Can’t blame you for not considering this. I was a Marine Corps Captain when I was released from Active duty. Worked for the Government for several agencies, physical security....then, worked in a real world terrorist threat in Saudi Arabia, four years, Kosovo for five and the Congo for one year. It’s taken me almost 10 years to first of all relent to the fact that a conspiracy exists, and that the truth is available however, we are made to believe otherwise. For our country to heal, we have to learn what the truth is before we fix the problem. I’ve seen it in action, while in kosovo, after living there for five years. Google “Thomas Gambill + Kosovo”. I’m not hiding my screen name, and I’m in the open.

If you don’t investigate its’ understandable....I believe in truth and the only way I found it was to live and work in Europe and see what was going on with my own eyes. Mostly away from our news and TV sources.......big,big difference.

Almost every bit of that post you copied and pasted here is fabrication, wild conjecture, or deliberate misinterpretation. Some of the people that you call 'witnesses' had little or no connection to the original case, the Warren Commission investigation, or real witnesses who did give testimony. It's just more spooky ghost story baloney conjured up by the conspiracy buff industry.
