I woke up the morning after the election, November 3, and cried for three straight days. I couldn't stop. Two months later, he shocked the world by removing the United States from the Kyoto Protocol, an agreement that was the result of thousands of hours of work, endless meetings, difficult negotiations-basically blood, sweat, and tears-on the part of 160 countries, including the United States.

On July 25, 1997, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, along with 93 other senators (with five senators not voting and none voting in opposition) adopted a resolution stating that ‘the United States should not be a signatory to any protocol to, or other agreement regarding, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change of 1992, at negotiations in Kyoto.’
That's 1997. Pray tell who was in the White House and who was in charge of both houses of Congress?
There was a piece on Fox News last night about how Global Warming Zealots were touting population control as a means of fixing the problem. OF course, the only people allowed to procreate would be those that agree with the zealots, but I digress....
My point is that I remember the 70s when the global cooling/cancer/pollution/etc scares were being touted by the same people. Hysteria reached its worst, and population control was "The Only Solution". Then.....things pretty much petered out and nothing came of it.

The treaty was unanimously rejected by every single Senator (of BOTH parties) who voted on it. I don’t know if that was one of the days when sKerry was too busy to show up for work or not.
