As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Queen Elizabeth II will begin a state visit on Monday.
Oliver Stone has unveiled an ad that calls for withdrawl--the nice term being used for surrender--from Iraq.
Conservatism is set to win big in France--the socialist candidate is already warning of post-election violence.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Good morning!
>>the socialist candidate is already warning of post-election violence.
Can you imagine if we used their tactics? Amazing, isn’t it?
I think the Left...there...here...flirts with evil...
thnks for the start, Chairman!
and the breadfast, lysie.
Molly, I think the left in this country is not just flirting with evil, it's having an affair.
Two Thirds, thanks for the suggestion. How's the weather in Colorado.
I have Navy friends in Greeley, they are visiting the first of June. Big Navy reunion in Indianapolis, they will attend. They drive a huge motor home and will park it in my back yard during their stay. We have a great time, the fella was a good friend of my husband, so he has me get a "honey-do" list for him while they visit. He keeps busy while his wife and I go antiquing and such.
Good Morning !!
I’m running out to buy my first bottle of French wine since 2003 !
Good morning. That is soooo nice of him.
Headed outside. BBL. Have a great day, everyone.
Love reading about Navy stuff, Navy brat that I am.
LBKQ, Navy brats are the best!!
I raised 4 and then my oldest son surprised us and joined the Navy, he did his 20 and retired. Now he answers the Lord’s call, he will soon be in his last year of seminary. Another big surprise!
Lysie, Our Colorado friends are like family, they knew my children better than the kid’s own Aunt and Uncles.
That would be quite a statement for conservatives in America.
However, after consideration: Me... I’ll wait a bit after the election today to see if things have really changed over there.
Good moning lysie. I’ll have the ham, scrambled eggs, and a corn muffin with coffee. Thank you.
Chair, why do the socialists always warn of violence when they lose an election? Sounds a bit duffyness to me.
Now that is a wonderful friend of your husband’s.
Today I’m going to plant a few more asparagus beans, at the other end of my “garden”. The ones on the east side are not doing so well.
Here’s another great article about the French election that Cincinna posted - I was going to post it but found she already had done so.
I find it that the analysis is extremely reminiscent of the situation I believe America had been drifting into during the last fifty years, but thanks to Reagan, that slide was stalled ... now I’m afraid it will be accelerating again.
Will France choose Sarko or the road to ruin?

Speaking of FEMA, THOUSANDS of the infamous FEMA trailers have been picked up by them. Now, maybe not a hurricane but TORNADO victims now need help and they WILL NOT provide some of these trailers to the ones who lost their everything, Then, our federal at work, huh? Course if you could see some of the trashing given to the trailers I can understand why they are not given. Oh, one can buy one for half and ever less of the cost of one.
The sun is shinning, no wind, chicks got out of their pen, dogs barking, doves cooing and way in the back in the woods one can hear little coyote pups just raising all kind of cane.
Our gospel sing was a total success last night, packed. One of the pair was a 81 year old lady and her 75 year old brother and talking about good, melts your heart.
Now, breaking news, I have been invited to speak to a gathering of youth groups on drug and alcohol abuse. Why not, in fact I really would like to get back to doing this being I was very active in this in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, makes me feel useful again.
Gotta go and start preparing my Iris beds, plant a couple trees, a few bushes, do some weeding and feeding, till some areas, put some mulch down, feed my older trees and bushes and plan to do more later this week.
All have a good day and say, prayer does wonders, try my ‘stop light’ prayers I have mentioned in the past, stop for a red light and say a short prayer. Time you get to where you are going you will have said one big pray.
Have a good and say day.
Toby
My Dad was a Chaplain in the Navy......1950-1972.
I loved the life, and so did Mom........She treated every move as an adventure and taught brother and me that we were fortunate to be able to do that. She was always very positive and supportive of Dad.
Well, we are having a cloudy, rainy weekend in the 50's for highs and it is supposed to last through Monday. Then supposed to start warming up Tuesday and be dry and 70's from Wednesday on. Foothills and mountains are getting several inches of snow this weekend.
LBKQ, your Mother sounds wonderful, you can enjoy where you are, no matter where, or be miserable, it’s up to you. Most folks in the military do enjoy the moving from place to place. We lived in some beautiful places and some not so nice, but we have great memories from them all.
I don’t see the friends from CO too often but we sure have a good time when together. One of my most cherished trips was with my husband to visit them in Greeley.
We camped at 11-mile Lake and the fellows fished everyday while the women did the tourist bit at places like Cripple Creek.
In the evenings we canned the fish in pint jars and then play card games till bedtime. Only had folks throw some gravel at our camper one night....cause we were getting too loud!!
It is very overcast here and I think we may have some storms headed our way. I watered all my plants this morning, in case the rain does miss us. Glad I got the yard mowed yesterday.
