WILMINGTON --Carl Persing's "public display of sexual affection" for his girlfriend on a Raleigh-bound flight last fall -- and threats to a flight attendant who asked him to stop -- landed him in a federal trial, a prosecutor said Monday.
Persing, 40, of Lakewood, Ca., is charged with interfering with a flight attendant on the Sept. 15 Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix. His girlfriend, Dawn Elizabeth Sewell, 40, is charged with assisting him.
Flight attendant Frank McCabe, 29, testified Monday that Persing and Sewell sat together in the second row, and that Persing was glassy-eyed.
Before takeoff, McCabe said, Persing began kissing Sewell's face, neck and bosom. McCabe said he told them to stop. When the plane reached about 10,000 feet, McCabe said, "His face was in her crotch, face down. She was giggling and obviously enjoying what was going on."

Get a room. I hear that plane restrooms are the place for that sort of thing.
Considering where HIS face had been, that's funny.
A few minutes later, McCabe began beverage service. The couple both asked for Jack Daniel's and Coke. McCabe said he refused to serve them, and an argument ensued.
I'm never seen an airplane drunk incident, but I've heard some stories from airline stewardesses and stewards. Some drunk/drugged people can really go nuts on a crowded flight and the poor flight attendents have to deal with them.
Well....thank goodness he didn’t want to smoke a cigarette when he was finished.....otherwise he would be in some really serious stuff now!!! :0 )
LOL.
Yeah, smoking is now a federal felony.
Can you imagine that you actually used to be able to take matches and lighters onto planes. That seems insane to me now. But then not as many people used to be so insane and narcissistic.
Sounds like “The Mile High Club” is developing Hell’s Angels attitude.
Salacious ping.
My experience had been that people who habitually enjoy recreational drinking are a danger to others on the ground.
Yes, I know. They don't think so. That's part of the definition of alcoholics.
Just saying.
Their (the impaired passengers) actions, behavior, etc. makes the flight dangerous for all passengers and flight crew, including first and second officers, should spend their time taking care to arrive safely not engaged in arm wrestles, slaps, shoving matches, etc. with passengers.
