Sometimes a cat will do this if it has developed a kidney problem...usually from what it is eating. This is curable. Check with your vet.

Good point, my male would spray even though he was neutered but when he got put on CD food (his was a bladder problem) it cleared right up.

"This is curable. Check with your vet."Besides a proper diet, they need fresh water also. Change it everyday, and wash the water bowl. Poor cat has a bladder infection. It may require antibiotics to get it cleared up.
