An animal deworming tablet is being touted as the new drug of choice by clubbers. A leading medical expert has told Sky News it can cause heart and brain problems or lead to fits. Benzyl piperazine was taken by an 18-year-old woman who collapsed in a London nightclub and suffered a seizure.
It is considered a legal alternative to other recreational drugs such as Ecstasy - although its unlicensed sale has now been outlawed.

How does an ER detox someone when they have no idea what was taken?
Deworming pills???
I guess that it is kinda like raw oysters - someone had to be first. Tabasco came later.

"tablet is being touted as the new drug of choice by clubbers." Wow, is this headline misleading. I thought this was some kind of stimulant being used to increase the take of Seal pelts.

Our country, like many others, is having problems with methamphetamine use at the moment. A lot of poor quality product is being smoked and injected, which has caused crime and public health issues not previously seen here. And why is it poor quality, possibly contaminated, and of unknown purity? Of course, because it's illegal! Not too many people getting killed with methanol-tainted bathtub gin these days.

On the Rez the drug of choice is (used to be anyway) gasoline.
Huffed, a whole group can get high for $1 worth, even at today’s prices.
Doesn’t do much for brain cells, but then anybody doing such things doesn’t have too many to begin with.

You can ban everything and people will still find some way to get a buzz. So make the bad stuff illegal and let the stupid that don't listen die doing the illegal stuff anyway. At least we save more of the smarter ones.

Don’t the pills also give you an urge to scratch your ears with your feet, or lick your crotch?

Those are desirable side effects, for the type of folks who use it. ;’)
