The United States House of Representatives Government Oversight and Reform Committee, on a party-line vote, subpoenaed Sec'y Rice to testify before the panel. The subpoena requires her to discuss the Administration's justifications for invading Iraq.
On the subject of Iraq, the DemoncRATS in the House of Representatives passed legislation that would require an American pullout of Iraq beginning October 1.
Finally, the DJIA is over 13,000--so much for the slowdown.

I want to reiterate my personal news. I had additional blood work done today. My white cell numbers are beginning to decrease. That needs to continue. Today's results are really inconclusive and I'm not out of the woods yet, BUT... I do not have leukemia in my blood. If I have leukemia, it is still within my bone marrow and hasn't yet exited to my blood. All my blood cells looked normal and proper.
I asked myself, "Self, would you still be praising the Lord and thanking Him if the results are adverse." The answer is yes, I would. God is still sovereign in what I'm going through. But good results make a whole lot easier!
I think that at heart God is really a hedonist. He made a beautiful earth. It is absolutely breath-taking in its majestic glory. The awesome grandeur of the Grand Canyon rivals the beauty of a tropical sunset. There are smells which delight, the fragrance of a Mr. Lincoln rose, the tea olive, a magnolia blossom. Food, colors, sounds, God made a world replete with lushness.
I do not think that God is pleased when we put on hairshirts and groan with fastings and punish ourselves needlessly. We should enjoy Him and His provisions for us.

We had a small music party last night...six musicians and 6 neighbors stopped by, it was fun although we miss our main music friends who are up north already.
Very much to do here today and tomorrow. I’ll be going off-line at some point during that time frame.
