Behar is a former Long Island school teacher who became a standup comedien. If I recall, she might have had a radio show in NY. She’s always been extremely liberal but hads really opened up since Rosie joined The View.
I just hit Perezizelle’s site, and the comments are quite telling. Not the FR crowd, but his (her?!?! Perez is the ‘Queen of all Media’) readers were pretty fed up with her ‘commentaries’ as well. I find that quite telling.
Here is a reply to one of the letters I received from one of the View’s sponsors.

I am sorry to hear that you are displeased with our sponsorship of “The View.” We select the programs that we sponsor very carefully, and we always strive to select programs that are consistent with our reputation as a manufacturer of quality products. Acceptable programs would not include shows that exploit race, religion or national origin, or shows that rely on unnecessary sex or violence to support their story line. On recorded programs, we also pre-screen scripts to ensure compliance with our corporate values.
Even while operating within these guidelines, however, we know our selection of programs will not always meet with every viewer’s approval. Occasionally, questions of personal taste will arise, and some individuals may be offended by particular programming periods we have selected. Still, we do attempt to avoid placing our commercials around programs that will be offensive to substantial segments of the viewing audience.
We and many other companies are trying to select advertising in a responsible way, and we have expressed our views to the networks. Even so, we believe the best force for change is the television audience. For this reason, we urge viewers to let the networks know about their concerns and not to watch programs they find objectionable.

I think Behar’s stand up career will suffer because of this. Rosie was (IMO) a good partner in crime for her. Now she will be on her own (and I think, flounder).

Thanks ...I am glad she isn’t teaching anymore. Maybe she will leave soon too. I think Rosie needs to get some mental help before she gets another show. I know I won’t watch anything she is on. I never saw The View except for clips. I did spend an entire day emailing & calling The View’s sponsors complaining about Rosie. None seemed to care what Rosie said. They told me to complain to the network & the network told me to complain to the sponsors. It was a wasted day I thought until reading this today.

You're exactly right but left out the fact that it's aimed at women who make up an increasingly vital Democrat voter demographic. Women are constantly propagandized by the Left through their magazines, organizations like the American Association of University Women, the League of Women Voters, ad nauseum.
Has anyone else noticed that politically outspoken lesbians, who seem to draw large female audiences, can't seem to fail in Hollywood or with the networks? Someone is constantly reinventing and creating TV megaphones for the Ellens, Rosies and awful "comics" like Paula Poundstone. Why are normal heterosexual women so strongly influenced by lesbian 'stars?' Does lesbianism represent some kind of independence and freedom from male 'domination' many women secretly long for? I just don't get it.

I think that if Joy got word that Ann had been hired, she’d be so fearful of Ann making mincemeat out of her, she’d realize the jig was up, and she’d spontaneously vomit from fear.

I sent Barbara Walters and email... Thanking her for getting rid of Rosie O. I was not going to support the products that advertised during that time frame, and never the show. Email Babs!!! Let her know you are glad she is gone.. Move on and DU are sending emails cussing Babs and ABC.
