How dare you insult the “Queen of Nice.” /sarc
An overweight sow.
Barnum and Bailey, and many other circuses, fascinated the dullest, most gullible minds of their day, playing them for suckers, by dragging out every imaginable freak they could find and promising entertainment for a nickel. People shows up in droves to see these freaks. Anyone too tall, too short, too ugly, too strange to make it in the real world using real talent to serve the public was preyed upon, placed in cages behind curtains, and exploited for the amusement of the mindless.
"One of us... one of us... one of us..."
You nailed it with Rosie's self hate. There can be no other explanation for her tirades, and bitter attacks against those who would disagree with her.
Elizabeth Hasselback has shown enormous restraint.
Walters is also the classic enabler. If she were concerned for others on her show, she would have not allowed this self destruction to take place.
Wishing you continued good health, and success in the future.
Cheers!
A very good “on target” essay. I remember Rosie when she did stand up comedy. She wasn’t side splitting funny, but pleasant, and relatively clean.
I don’t know what happened to her. I watched her talk show periodically, until she jumped into Tom Selleck’s sh*t with both feet. The shocked look on his face matched mine, I guess. Maybe “coming out” ain’t all that after all...
Other than Tammy Bruce, I haven't ever seen a lesbian who isn't miserable. I know several in the military and they are always talking down to straight females and males. They think they are above regulations and do what they want. Some have been relieved for their unethical behavior, but others "know" someone to stay in and are never even counseled.
Apparently she is leaving the View to get her own show. She signed a 40 million dollar contract for five year a month ago. She does not seem to be going anywhere at this time.
Hey, a lot of us in Omaha wouldn't watch Rosie even if she was in a bottle of formaldahyde!
While I agree that Rosie has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, I have to disagree totally with your characterization of Simon... In the very few episodes I’ve seen he’s been completely honest, if blunt. The performers could sound like someone throwing live kittens into a wood chipper and the other two judges would smile and say “Oh, that was lovely!”
As far as the eye rolling goes, I didn’t see the episode in question but if the performer was attempting to exploit the tragedy to get more votes they deserved a great deal worse than an eye roll.
Well done. Now Rosie the Pig can go to her next disaster and spew her hatred.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Not sure if immediate or end of season.
. . .6 FOOT . . .
MAN EATING
. .CHICKEN!. .
I only saw it up at two fairs. You pay your $.50 and go into the little booth and there is a man standing by a measuring stick. He is apparently 6 feet tall and as you come in he is biting a chicken leg and holding a plate of fried chicken. People go in and come out muttering about the ripoff or laughing uncontrollably. Either way they go drag everyone the know to see the 6 Foot Man Eating Chicken. It is a profitable joint.
Next, she comes out and says she's not going to do any more controversial stuff, which is, face it, the only reason she's there.
And now, a few short weeks after Imus' debacle, Rosie's leaving, as they say, "to pursue other career options/to spend more time with her family".
I hate it when my brain gets sucked into this tabloid crap, but I'd like to know what the background on this was. It sounds like she got steamrolled.
Oh you big thilly!
That's why I always say, that "I liked American Idol better when it was called 'The Gong Show.'" At least they had Gene Gene the Dancing Machine.
