All of Us | 4/24/07 | Various news sources and FReepers

Posted on 04/24/2007 4:43:22 AM PDT by Molly Pitcher

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning everyone.

Dog is on vacation...

Raven is headed to Italy...

Carolinamom is firing up her Grass Hog...

And the Dems continue to undermine this great country. The confrontation between Capitol Hill and the White House over the Iraq War timetable seems imminent.

Sounds like the same thing our parish priest came down with. He was admitted into the hospital late last week. He should be home by tomorrow.

It is one nasty intestinal virus or flu. When I was in with my gall bladder attack 4 weeks ago, quite a few of the people in the emergency room were being treated for it.

GOOD MORNING TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA... GONNA BE A HOT ONE HERE TODAY, WILL TRY TO GET MY GRITS PLANTED.........

Want to see HATE up close ? Look at Harry Reid and little Nancy p, professional haters.

Went to WalMart yesterday and loaded up up on plants, more tomatoes too, everything else as well. Now to get them planted. I have decided to try using Miracle Grow once a week on the plants for feed, I have been making some liquid chicken manure and on the beans am going to try this.

First t hings first, clean my ‘shack in the back’, D gone to town to the dentist (Jason) and then till up the rest of my busted up garden, put it in rows. Not a fun day for me for sure and will be sore tomorrow.

Have a good day!
Toby

ABG, I've read your post....I've only returned for this post to say ...

..this morning I read through all of yesterday's thread....(after waking at 4AM with all of this on my mind)

By nature, I'm not a combative person...

..and Molly, actually, I'm quite a happy, content person...

..but it's strangely ironic you should consider me 'unhappy'....

... years ago, when I first felt compelled that abortion was wrong, and knew I needed to get involved, my mom said..

."Why are you concerned about this, it will only make you unhappy"...

Mom was a pragmatist-(God bless her)...and she didn't want me going in that direction.

Respecting her opinon, but letting my heart lead, years later, I know I've tried to make a difference....pitifully small though it is.

Having said this, ...several of you have posted since yesterday and said I hurt you and you're disappointed in me.

That I regret.

I'm sorry to anyone/everyone I have caused hurt....truly I am.

I DO remember lots of earlier, more carefree years when we had a good comraderie here & genuine caring for each other....

...I am truly sorry for any hurt I have caused....

Also....!!Jim Robinson is an amazing person!!!!..

..and I count it gain to know of him and be a part of this awesome forum.....a forum that truly effects change.

Until this website started, like many of us, I was a frustrated conservative ....looking for like minded folk to commiserate with, share ideas and hopefully effect change.

When I found this forum...(actually my husband found it for me)....I knew I was HOME!

I've never belonged to another website....none....ever.

Every now and then, I've wandered away from FR...to sit quietly for a few days, a few weeks and reflect/ponder...(it's just a huge place bursting with thoughts/ideas/passions and it would get overwhelming!!)

..but I always returned....

..Always!

..and now I want to help Mr.Robinson in his endeavors to fight the coming wave of liberalism before it washes over us.

That's why I'm here....That's why I will stay on Free Republic.

ABG, I'm sorry you are unhappy with me....and I have apologized to Wagglebee for drawing him in...

..and I truly hope you will all respect Jim Robinson's position/authority... and encourage and support him.

Thanks....Guennie

Good Morning!

"Raven is headed to Italy..." Raven, be prepared for small hotel rooms in Rome hotels, and be careful of the little motorbikes when crossing the street :) LOL.

Seriously I loved Italy! But must say I was so proud to land back in America and see that flag flying!!

I’m weighing over this post. As I see it, you’ve seen fit to denounce another member of this family, try to start a flamewar between other members of this family, have repeatedly said you were leaving, and we’re supposed to welcome you back with open arms.

No chance from the ABG ward.

Go to Hell...

A flat coke, sipped slowly may help settle his stomach, Duke. Bless his heart. His tummy must feel pretty sore today. Hopefully you can get him in to the Dr this AM.

Good morning Toby. Gardening if such fun. I planted Okra for Roomey yesterday. He finally told me it was warm enough to get them in my “garden”. some of the golfers really laugh at my garden. They’ve never seen on with a painted flower garden on it’s panels before. I’ve noticed a couple of them check my plants. Yesterday I was told to grind up some garlic, mix in some tobacco to water and spray my squash and bean plants. Something is going after the leaves. I have live in lizards in my garden, but they can’t keep up with whatever is after the leaves.

I've stayed out of this , but it has been less than one week since we lost our dear friend and look we have become. Differences we all have, but out of respect for her could they be put in private replies? Kay, loved this thread far too much for this. Please.

Stolen from another thread:

HE MAKETH NO MISTAKE (Psalm 23:2)

My Father's way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache;
But in my soul I'm glad to know
He maketh no mistake.

My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away;
But still I'll trust my Lord to lead,
For He doth know the way.

Though night be dark and it may seem
That day will never break,
I'll pin my faith, my all, on Him;
He maketh no mistake.

There's so much now I cannot see,
My eyesight's far too dim;
But come what may, I'll simply trust
And leave it all to Him.

For by-and-by the mist will lift,
And plain it all He'll make;
Through all the way, though dark to me,
He made not one mistake.

I’d like to think that I haven’t changed in my overall character, but I will admit that this past year was a bad one for me personally. I’ll share it with lysie, Molly, and Jane. It’s too private for the rest of you guys...

Good morning.

I've heard that, also.

I have a bird family in an Upright Yew outside my bedroom window.

Tobasco and garlic? Try tobasco and horseradish sauce in ketchup on a fresh fried oyster or shrimp! C’mon Toby, you know this stuff! :^)
