It is awful to return after a short absence and find one of the pillars in our community gone.
Wagglebee and I had a misunderstanding that we cleared up via FReepmail. “She who I no longer consider welcome here” pinged him to her rant and he jumped in without all the facts. He’s been brought up to speed and withdrawn from our family feud, and was very nice about it.
BTW: Just heard on Hannity that a GOP challenger to Chuck Hagel in Nebraska is 9 points ahead of him for next year’s election!
Zaybot is going to be 1 year old on the 13th of next month and he is SOOO big and thinks he is so grown.
We are enjoying him fully.
Mom is getting a bit of uhhhh..well suffice to say she manages to chase everyone away then wonders why she is always alone...sighhhhhhhhhhhh.

I want to publically say I'm sorry that anything about my banning or your friendship and support for me has caused trouble for any of you. I'm deeply honored that I have known all of you and was happy to consider this place my home for 9 hears.
Two of the most troubling charges against me by both Jim and now repeated by hundreds of freepers and apparently on this very thread is that:
2)I was pro choice.
I am not now and never have been pro choice. Ever.
What I have said is that I think people will be voting national security and fiscal issues vs social issues, primarily due to 9/11. I've also said the states have had more success reducing abortions than the feds have had.
2)The other troubling charge is that I lied about Reagan when I said he used to be pro choice. His own son Michael admits that Reagan was pro choice in this article:

My banning is permanent although Robinson has said on that very lengthy thread that if I profusely apologize, I will be reinstated. I will not be apologizing to a man who condones calling Rudy supporters treasonous liberals and personally calling me a liar, an idiot and swear words I will not repeat here. I have treated him with contempt in the last month or so only after he has either pinged me or made posts to me directly that were rude and ugly and because he has made it clear the old rules of abusive behavior no longer apply and he has permitted what was once a great site that took down Dan Rather into a site that resembles DU. If all my 9 years of posting research, particularly as it related to the relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda, are so easily dismissed by him because I happen to like a Republican he doesn't like, then I no longer feel comfortable here.
And lastly friends, the very last thing I want to see is any of you arguing with each other. Miss Marple is correct that our arguments with each other, and they have happened here through the years, are to be private, and for the most part, they have been.This thread is the last good part of Free Republic, imo, and I'm proud of my association with all of you.

Enjoy him while you can, they grow up soooooo fast.
Mom is very sweet (hope she stays that way) and loves to visit and play dominoes, etc. I take her to the senior center twice a week in the mornings so she can play “chicken foot”. Then usually an evening a week she’ll go back for a dinner or birthday celebration.
In KS she had gotten to where she woudn’t even leave her apartment. My s-i-l brought her groceries to her.
She can eat her weight at every meal. Amazes me and she doesn’t gain an ounce. I don’t know how she does it.
She is in the early stages of dementia. So sad. Sometimes I look into her eyes and they seem so hollow.
So? What’s the big deal, we STILL use corn cobs here in Mississippi.
This lady is the salt of the earth...
I could t ell many stories of her and me in our hurricane Katrina, a true blue lady, heart bigger than a #3 washtup.

The dr. put her on Aricept, but so far I don’t see any changes. She doesn’t remember the name for ‘grapes’ or where she placed her earing aid. She calls my placemats on the table little dolls. It is so sad because she realizes she is making these mistakes but can’t help it.
But enough of this...
